Don't be hatin on the 64 :flipoff1:

Nope, we're in Jefferson. And it isn't b/c I am hatin' on the 64 ( :-X)... Hb goes to Jeff Co school system and I don't want to take her away from her friends...
We did that once already.... Broke her heart levaing her KC friends. :'(

Yup, changing school systems does suck. I'm glad my land is still in Kalli's school system. We fought with outselves over that, whether to buy on the market and build in 5 when we can afford/real estate market is back or to build now. man, I doubt we can get the rates later we can get now. that's the reason I wanna build now. otherwise, we would find and investment property and live in it/sit on it for 5. I want a shop now and won't compromise on that. I need out of the farm shop. overhead (lachthereof) is the only thing attractive here.

Here in Walker Co. You can move and stay at the same school you are attending, but once you move schools you can't go back without a few headaches. We have kids that drive all over the county and from surrounding counties that have moves houses but not schools.

Of all the links she sent me and the couple of these we have looked at Im liking this one... Pisses me off they dont have garage pictures. I assume from the one we looked at up the street from this that its full basement with 2 doors on the right side with a driveway..

Value will only go up on something like this. Plus you can probably buy it $20,000.00 or more lessthen asking price at this point and when you decide to build on your land the market will be back up for sure. :afro:

paul that looks like a winner.

You hear how I found our house? Search Criteria: 3 car detached, and the zip code. No ****.

( I got Capt Carl doin some re-search since he's all realtor jobby job now. See what what the wiff things and what not. )

P, I bought my house almost three years ago. I have a friend who is a realtor and he hooked me up with several different options. The on e that I am in now was a foreclosure and I got it cheaper than normal. House appraised for $114k when I bought it and I got it for less than $98k. I have since remodeled the entire inside and had it reapprasied not too long ago and now its at $125k with only about $12k into remods. So right now I'm sitting pretty. Got a home equity line of credit to do the remods so its a tax right off as well. All of the insulation and new doors and windows and energy savings that I did were tax right offs as well. I would recommend trying to find a foreclosure that is decent. I am in the planning stages right now about my second home. My plans all along were to live in this one for about 4-6 years and then either buy one and do it all over again, or build one. Not sure which one of those two things are gonna happen but like I said I'm in planning stages right now. Now that the intrest rates have dropped again I might look at refinancing both of the mortgages together just to make it easier, and only if it will help. Look into all options, don't just settle on the first thing that comes across that's fo sho!

Oh yeah my foreclosure house came with a nice big shop in the back yard, so it was definetaly a perk for buying the house! Brennan came by today and took a pic of it for ya!

My grandmother is also a realtor if you need some help with looking for a house or have any ?'s along those lines.

Dude you need to post some pics of the house when you first bought it and what it looks like now.
Daniel has put in some serious work on his house and it looks great. I was very skeptical the first time I walked in and the carpet looked like rainbow icecream.

If your planning on another house, it better have a shop!!

Well first impressions can be a killer.. LOL

we walked through the one I thought I loved and the Brick one we originally drove by and checked out. The Brick one IS THE SHIZ... Amber and I both loved the layout and pretty much everything about the joint.

Gonna put an offer on it this week... drool

BOOYAAA!!! you cant beat it for timing to get such a great rate. And you are lucky you aren't selling a house, this market sucks for those guys.
