Thats why I would like to find something "on the market in the area"

Plus we could afford to build more home / shop in a few years after Amber is official and doing her thing licensed and outta school. Sell said current place, make a lil and down pay that into building.

But Im practical and patient like that... she's female. laughing1

( I love you :fish: )
Just be realistic is all. Not a bad thing to buy something available now. I doubt i ever build, but I also said I'd never have sweaty man secs with DV8 and he may not admit it, but he took me for a ride into the woods at Grey Rod...Rock! rock I said ROCK

It almost takes as long to get a modualar as it does bulid a house unless you got to the lot and just buy what they have. If you get into I want this and that on the modulars it could take a year before you have a house. I would build a simple square nothing fancy house before I bought a mobile home, and sale in down the road and build what I wanted when the money and time is there. Jus tmy 2 nickles.

well, I'm unsure on what to do as far as build or have one come in on a truck and set it. It is something that might be borrowed against, but can never be sold. I don't want to "roll a bunch of other **** into the loan" the way you would do on an equity heavy investment property. this will be mine for good, so I want to pay as much as I can as I go along. There is a company here, KANBUILD that makes some very attractive homes. Not modulars, not trailers, actual homes. dormers on the roofs, offsets, vaulted ceilings, all that. I hate how the modulars look, straight and square. I want it to look like a house. Now, whether the bank will give money for one of those or insurance will **** me on the rate, we'll see. guess I need to use one of these rain days making calls, not 4x4 parts laughing1

I think a modular would be OK for just you, but ever try to sell it and it would probably bring the suck. All the guys are dead on, builders are not doing **** right now so they are eager to earn business. That said I will never build again, find you a house sitting on the market right now and steal it.

I am all for buying on the market... I just worry about P being in a neighborhood. ::)

Yeah, I don't know that our marriage is strong enough to build. She might be changing jobs soon too, and not by her choice. that'll be nice.

Building tested our marriage to the max, and I hated every minute of it. Don't ever do it!

Actually... WE CAN"T SELL!

That is my share of family land that won't leave the family. Yes, we paid for the work on it but I inherited my piece of the property long ago.
Regardless of all the comments that I am sure will come once everyone hears "family land", I have intentions on staying on that property until I die.
If it takes a few more years to have a home, regardless of whether it is built, a mod, or what not, I can wait.

I just can't stand the current house we are in. The landlords don't care about it and it is falling apart.

Joey never called back.... again

Call TOVAH and see what she will sell the house to YOU for. laughing1

I could slum in that place for a few years since the garage is so nice... I just worry about resale on that house because of its location and surrounding homes. First thing i text'd back to Jason when he offered up was "Burn down the shanty's then call me "

I'd rather call Leigh and have her take us to see the house in Cresview and Millcreek! ;D
