Rolled it outside last weekend and washed the body shop funk off. Also simple green'd the underside of the hood and engine bay. Much better... Attacking the motor and trans this weekend.
Well, it is a 4 bolt main CJ. It looks like it has a melling HV oil pump, a double roller timing set, and it has been apart. The rods and caps are stamped with cylinder numbers, and the balance pads look to have been touched up.
It doesn't have a CJ oil pan however.
It is supposed to be 0.030 over, but the pistons have a Ford oval case into them, and I saw a D0VE too... The crosshatch on the cylinders is still fairly fresh looking. Me thinks it may not have been as "rebuilt" as advertized.
Crank is STD/STD. Starting to think Robby's definition of "rebuilt" differs from others...
Bought some insurance with ARP nuts for the rod bolts.
