digs/burns

The cutting brakes will work well for someone with 4ws but not if you have standard steering.

Ive stuck my trucks in 2x severall times to get the rear tires to slide downhill to get in the "ruts".

but yeah, it generally only works on a hill when the slope is in you favor.

But using a cutting brake instaed when only needing one end locked still has advantages. #1 no electrical with a cutter, #2 only one componenet to fail, #3 no service needed really, line lock solenoids only work for so long. #4 you can buy it to use for rears and then get a bonus of having it work for the fronts too, even if not RS.:beer:

Im good on the cutting brakes..... I do like the double brake pedal idea.:awesomework:

Doing a dig: the money mark way......

Drive forward, shift into 2 low front only, apply foot on rear cutting brake, turn steering wheel and apply throtle to start front dig, let off pedal/stay on throtle, get back on cutting brake pedal, repeat until desired maneuver is completed.

A misconseption is that you get the desired "burn" on the first try. Not true. You have to "work it" sometimes. Harder (for me) to do with a hand lever.

you dont always get what you want and tend to breack stuff in the process I used to just put my sliders up against sonething and pivot but what do u do when theres nothing to pivot around

woulnd it be easier to just put in 2x and just stand on it untill desired maneuver is completed?:redneck: jk:;

Actually, you are correct. Wheel speed is your friend.

I'm just a ***** I guess......slow and methodical.:cool:

it will have long feild 30 splines and i have 38s I jumped under my jeep today I have a d20 Is that really a bad t-case

my friend had a line lock on his buggy and used it as a poor mans dig, but his toyota motor had to strain to do the dig. a driveline disconect would be the way to go with a steering brake with single handle 1 in 1 out.

"Bad" is a descriptive word for an opinion.....you would be better off with a D300.

.....and I don't think you can do twinstick (to do front digs) solely with a D20. Anybody?

And DL disconnects are....."bad".
