digs/burns

depends on the d30 if its the scout or bronco u have 2hi and 2lo in front if its jeep u only have 2lo in front unless u taake the pills out

And there is more to it than "can it do it". Can the front output take the abuse? Can the case itself take the abuse? Will the bearings, yokes, etc. hold up for any amount of time? With a (built) D300, you can be assured it can.

Example: We all have a buddy that "never broke a stock birfield" or "never broke a stock axle/u-joint"........but we all know better now.

Yes d20, sorry I have been reading on this all day trying to get everything together I have everything except the cutting brakes looking at where to order them know I am going to call a couple of my sand rail buddy's

oh and I didnt brake a berfeild this weekend i sleeved a toy driveline with a jeep driveline and the welds broke. oooooops

Tech aside.......nate887.......you are polishing a turd.

Don't get all upset......just trying to save you from the mistakes and heartache I (we've) made in the past.

I had a front range disconnect on my toyota powered sami. The yoke nut came loose a few times and vibrated my driveline bolts out. It did it even with lock tite. I cut a slight groove in the threads of the output and then lock tited it and it held up. Other than that it work perfect .

Front digs with 38's might be hard on your front axle.

Not really hes just asking for too much with too little. I ran and (soon will again) a dana 20 set up for front digs and never had any issues or breakage because I limited my tire size to what was appropiate for the parts. The problem start when trying to use too large of a tire for the running gear being used. Also note that I never really found the front dig feature all that usefull with the short wheelbase rig. Faster to just back up a little and turn again then bother playing with the gears. Now in a longer rig I could see where the advantage would be.

Front digs with 38's might be hard on your front axle.

nate8887.......Let us know how it goes, if you end up using the D20. Now that we've all thrown in our 2 cents......I'm sure we'll all be curious as to the final verdict after your install and testing are complete.

Well I am going to use the d20 for now I am going to buy a d300 either at the swap meet or off ebay and rebuild it and keep till I blow the d20 up so that is my plan as for the front axle plan on getting 35 inch comp tires when i link it at that point I will put the long feilds or d60 outers on it thank you all for your help I do understand all your concerns and I say why fix unless its broke so I will break it before I fix it and change anything thanx
