And you're not the public?....If some of you people appoint yourselves as leaders of the public you need to pass the information along.

As far as anything stated by or for the DNR I agree...

This is a meeting to share information with leadership about the next steps we need to take for the winter/spring.

One of those steps will be temporary closure beginning Nov 2nd for restoration and construction. There will be information released next week regarding that closure.

There will be a large public meeting tentatively scheduled for the 18th of Nov. We are still working out the details...therefore the date might change. Please look forward for info regarding that. That meeting will be to collect input regarding the Plan...which will be released for public review late this month or early next month.

The whole idea for the meeting next week was to talk with ORV leadership about DNR decisions before a press release and public update went out notifying everyone of closure. That way, people like nowires, crash, kat and others know what is going on when all you guys start asking.

That's all I got....I gotta go...

I personly do not see no reopening date as a big thing at this time, let wait and see what comes out of the meeting on Oct 20th as it just may impact what is going on and setting a dates.

Remember Governament agencies do not move fast, Canadian as well as US!!

I have talked and worked with David enough that I don't think he is trying to hide anything or pull the wool over our eyes, but is living witin the constants of his job, while supporting our desire for Reiter to be open and useable.

There is a process that is going to happen and will be brought up at this meeting. New trail plans, new parking area, reforestation of areas. The faster that these plans can get accomplished, the faster it will be opened back up. This is the time we all need to work together and stop pointing fingers.
This is why I have been working on trail plans all summer and gathering data
Spent hours going over where to put the new staging area and over night camping
I have just barley been wheeling this summer but I have clocked over 200 hours down there working on this plan waiting for the next step.

This scares me...

This scares me...

With everything---you gotta slide downhill before we can walk back up. From talking with charlie its just a step we will have to make--but the outcome should be good. Just going to take some time...

Whether or not we agree with the guys over there or not at this moment I do not believe publicly calling them assclowns is helping anything.
We all need to work together to keep reiter as a orv park.
There are a certain number of us that were invited to this for a reason.

As David stated: "The whole idea for the meeting next week was to talk with ORV leadership about DNR decisions, before a press release and public update went out notifying everyone of closure. That way, people like Nowires, Crash, Kat and others know what is going on when all you guys start asking.

If you want to contribute some input towards the meeting, talk to one of us that are going to be there by invite to speak for the off-road community as a whole.

And you're not the public?....If some of you people appoint yourselves as leaders of the public you need to pass the information along.

It's not that we are appointing ourselves as leaders. Those of us that are in organized groups, or associations are elected as such, and work with the DNR on a higher level than the general public. In any organization, representatives are sent in order to gather the information, or submit information, and then collectively disperse said information back to the groups.

We all have the same goals for keeping Reiter Foothills viable. It is just that there is a process for everything and it takes time for things to happen the correct way.

Binder, in response to your expressed concern for passing the information along, this will happen when there is more information to disseminate.
