With everything---you gotta slide downhill before we can walk back up. From talking with charlie its just a step we will have to make--but the outcome should be good. Just going to take some time...

The thing that scares me is, whenever you have government involved in anything the time line seems to never have an ending...

I just hope that's not the case with Reiter...

I appreciate everything that you guys have been doing to help our sport up there, I just hope it isn't in vain...

can't wait to wheel reiter again when it opens back up in a couple years.

good luck guys.

It's not that we are appointing ourselves as leaders. Those of us that are in organized groups, or associations are elected as such, and work with the DNR on a higher level than the general public. In any organization, representatives are sent in order to gather the information, or submit information, and then collectively disperse said information back to the groups.

We all have the same goals for keeping Reiter Foothills viable. It is just that there is a process for everything and it takes time for things to happen the correct way.

Binder, in response to your expressed concern for passing the information along, this will happen when there is more information to disseminate.

The problem with that is I've not selected any of you to represent me. That's why I will be there.:awesomework:

The cummunity has chosen representatives.
If you were not invited via email and you happen to get in you won't be there representing really--only observing. Granted there are only like 7 spots between all the usergroups.

Says who? The "community" doesn't speak for me. If and when that day comes I'll let you know who it is I select.

So when you come to this meeting. What are you going to bring with you to advance this project along
What are you qualifications? Why should a spot be opened up for you? What are you going to bring to the table?

You are dead set to be there, So tell us all what you are going to add to the group. I think that you persistence is recognized I would rather have you on the team, Rather than fighting the team. So please tell me why you should be there.

Binder I am going to go out on a limb here and hope you can not cut it off on me!!

1. I assume from your Avatar that you are a Member in Good Standing of S.N.O.R.T. 4x4 Club out of Mt Vernon, WA.

2. Groups from the Mt. Vernon, WA area are going to be more closely associated with Walker Valley then with Reiter when DNR or anyone for that matter is looking for local Reiter User Groups.

So assuming that the two statements above are correct, that is the reason you or the Officers of S.N.O.R.T. did not received an email invitation to this meeting on the 20th.

You are not part of a "LOCAL" to Reiter User Group, even if you only wheel at Reiter, which I don't think is true. So as such you are being represented by the members of 4x4 groups considered "LOCAL" that were invited.

I think any reasonable minded person can understand this, and see the reasoning behind it. If you feel you need personal representation at Reiter, then become a member of a Reiter Local Group and take part in the election of the Officers of that group and then you will have a say and a voice in who represents you. Hell even you could be come an Officer of one of these groups and represent us.

How does that sound? Binder for RTW President :awesomework:

If you read the invitation you know that public input is limited. I intend to be there to whitness things for myself. Why?..Because I don't trust any of the self appointed leaders to bring the information back to the rst of us.
Why do you think I'm fighting the team?
The fact is I will be there as I've confirmed with David.:awesomework:

:edit: And Charlie it's like I've told you before, I can't write on here what I want so the detailed questions in public will go unanswered. If you really wanted to know you would meet me in person like I've asked you to with no response from you. :edit:

is this closure for motorized vehicles only? can I ride my mountain bike up there?

Hiking is allowed behind DNR closed gates. They consider mt. biking motorized because of the mechanical aspects of the design. Same goes with wilderness areas.

leave your wheeler hidden up there in the woods and then just "hike" to it after the gates go up.:corn:
