GAP - ECORS Race -Auburn, AL - May 19, 2012

A class was won by Marc Zaboth in the #94 Ftoy. Scott Lang finished second in A class in his first race!!

Julio was getting it big time in the Sammi until a big landing took out his propane mixer and he lost power. Julio also raced the whole time with a severly bent front axle housing. If not for the propane issue Julio would have finished top three or four for sure.

Overall awesome time!

thats some cool pics we had a blast starting in 14th and finishing in 2nd was pretty awsome i didnt expect a truck that was finished at 2:30 friday morning to even finish must less get 2nd had a blast cant wait till georgia.

This was my first attempt at filming an ECORS race I had an absolute blast . Watching the action on the course made me want to build a truck to do that in it looked like a carnival on wheels out there that has got to be big time fun. I am going through the footage now this is going to take a little more editing than what I usually do but if everyone will bear with me I think I can have something pretty descent to post up in a few days. I would like to say thank you to the people that have put this series together I think this will be a huge boost to our sport. You can race everything from an ultra4 car to a garage built jeep out there, a little something for everyone.

They were available from 99-01 I believe. 3.5L V6 made around 275 hp. With 32"ish tire, they were petty capable IFS rigs right out if the box.

I also learned from talking to the Isuzu guys-Darlington Offroad- that those things had a really stout rear axle-ring gear and axle shafts about the size of a Dana 60.

John Glass (park owner) told me today that he fully enjoyed everyone at the ECORS race-racers and spectators. He said it was the most courteous and respectful crowd at the park to date. He enjoyed talking with everyone and is looking forward to it again and to seeing anyone that wants to come back and ride on a regular riding weekend!

THANKS for the pictures Brett I had a HUGE TIME, that was a fun course to race on :woot:

BIG THANKS to John Glass and family / crew :dblthumb:

I will replace the front end and try and figure out what in the HELL broke in my damn propane vaporizer :dunno: with only 2 frickin laps to go ::)

and try and be ready for Durham Town.

I knew when I was up in the air that far the landing was gonna be HARD and probly take out what was left of the front axle housing,,,,BUT NOT THE PROPANE SYSTEM :wtflol:

Julio, your rig was awesome to watch! One of the guys in the pits with me said you looked like a rock skipping across water coming down the front dragyway! There was one bump there that sent you bouncing all four in the air for every lap and you never even checked up! We were all shocked to see how fast it was on the drag start against the other competitors.
