gearing questions?

I have 60s with 5:38s and 39" Irocks, and for the last year 39" Krawlers and I have wheeled the piss out of them for 2-1/2 years no problems....

If i remember right I think the 5.38's are actually stronger than the 5.13's. this goes against what i said earlier but, there was somthing about the desing and the way they meshed.

I took a set of 5. 13's to bobby and remember that the pinion head wasn't much bigger than my D44 5.38's

If you think the 5.13s were small, you shound see the 7.17 pinion I run in my buggy. Everytime I service my diffs I inspect them and cannot believe I have not broken one yet. Cute little guys.:D

cause that thing is stipped to ****, and just the way it happened makes me laugh, i can see the convo.
you "So i had to rebuild my transfer case, the whole 4lo gear got stripped", other guy "Dude how did u do that?" you "i let my 17 year old daughter drive it..."

It didn't cost me anything to rebuild it. I had extra parts. I still have that gear. Now I have a good story to tell my Grandson about his Mother.
