Kia sportage sas w vortec

Well I finally got a chance to work on it again. First I cut all the crap I didnt need off the yota axle. then I welded the truss I got at the swap meet on there. cleaned up the frame and put some new engine mounts on it and built some motormounts to get this thing sitting in there without chains:D then mounted the axle and stole the tires off of my dd to see how it sits. Its a little higher than imagined but I think the springs will sack out a little after a couple trips. I ordered all my link ends for the rear so they should be here in a couple days and I can get that all done and start working on all the little shiat and get this thing on the trail.

Toyota????:scratchhead: Looks like a kia to me:fawkdancesmiley:. glad to see some progress:D

It doesnt look like a kia anymore:D Im glad to see progress too but I have another truck that just got here with a bed full of tg stuff so its gonna be sidelined again for a couple days. but im waiting on link ends anyways so its coo

I like the stance of the front, very cool.

Thanks. its a little higher than I wanted but if should sit down a little after a couple runs :awesomework:

sweet man, what joints did you end up ordering for the rear? Slow down though, I need to stay ahead of you with my build. :awesomework:

I ordered the trail creepers like yours but with 5/8 bolts & some 3/4 heims for the panhard im still going to run bushings at the front end of the links so its peacefull inside:D & you got a couple days to get after it I have a yota here to work on so go go go

I have been sick for over a week now its getting really old. I did get it on the lift and cut the rearend out. I was doing a sas and had to go get my eye drilled on had a grinder disc blow up on me:mad: I have the yota rear axle all ready to go in, I have all the brackets welded onto it just havent taken anymore pics besides these ones. hopefully tomorrow it will be sitting on all toy axles I will get some more pics up but I have to get a red star to upload more than a couple pics :booo: but here is a few

Yeah this thing bends so easy I built a front bumper yesterday with it. took about two hours less than the last one I did so it will pay itself off in the long run I bought the cheapie notcher they had $170 it works awesome :D I got three different dies with it too so everything wont have to be 1 1/2 anymore:awesomework:

Thanks. we could throw you a tube bed togeather. no problemo you can swing by pretty much anytime.

complete ten bolt rear end or did you need 14 cant remember

360 481 0410 in rochester 75 obo

Yep it was a ten bolt he needed I will let him know. He bought another one but the pinion is chipped up so its not going to last. Is that your # or a friends?

Well I finally got rolling again and got the rearend mounted up in this thing I built the links all at 41" eye to eye that way I can build 1 spare to limp it out if needed. I moved the rear axle back 6" so I wouldnt have to trim the front side of the wheel well and to match what I moved the front axle. I lifted the rear tire 42" before it bumped the backside of the wheelwell, a little trimming and I should be able to get a few more inches out of it. these arent the tires Im going to run, these are 36" I still have to get some wheels for my 40s I got from Boosted, Then I can steal the 39.5 swampers off my truck and throw them on here Its gonna be  I guess next thing is to get the engine fired up and start building bumpers and the exo.

Those brackets I got from your bro sure sped things up a bit. Did you put those wheels on your jeep?
