Kinda new idea...

need some more specific's as well since application I think will have alot to do with this.

What angle are your shocks at ? Obviously it appears that the cans are at the same angle, can you verify that with a simple yes/no

Torque on the hardware ( around the body of the shock specifically ) Applied clamping force is my concern here without damage to "material" Did you find that this required shaving the through hole area on the cans that you bought from Poly ?

Any little detail that you did in the process of setting this up you can think of please share it. This is a great thread and concept so Im personally pretty excited by it if it works out and I think alot of other people are as well. The advantages to this type of packaging design are HUGE thumb.gif

Oh yea, we need to dub this style of mount...

The "Sam I Am Can's" molaugh Or is this "Sam I Am Style"

Im runnin my cans "Sam I Am Style "

Hahaha I like it P! Off the top of my head I couldnt tell you what the shocks are angled at but the bumps are in the exact same plane. I did make angle the bump pads so they hit the bottom of the air bumps square (trying to reduce side loading on the actual bump itself) if that makes any sense. And as for specs on how to tighten the cans to the shocks...i used german torque specs...Goot-an-tight. (yea that was lame, but i know P chuckled). Honestly, i never felt like the airshock body was even close to deforming or crushing. I also set up my bumps a little farther down in the can (so the lip was not touching the can) and it did not move even a 1/16 of an inch, so the clamping force is def. strong enough. Not sure if any of that makes any sense...pretty much pulled an all nighter to study for a test i have this afternoon. But i got the rig done, and thats all that matters right? ;D

**** does work. Figured I'd log on to vouch for him. We let it rip last night for about an hour. It ain't no RZR but it does jump smoothly now.

i need these to go w/ my white trash wheelin philosophy... ratchet strap limit straps, low pro redneck bead locks and sam i am style airbumps...

good to hear your junk held together so far...Im guessing you were jumping it down in the meadow?

No real video. Have 2 of me attempting the wall at DPG but nothing exciting. I will let Travis tell you if they hold up or not. He tested them pretty good at Mt. City a few weeks ago. thumb.gif

thumb.gif Thats cool man, what a great packaging idea !!

Maybe one day when I roll deep like a college student I can put N2 bumps on the back of my **** :flipoff1:

I wish I could roll deep like a college student too, oh wait I am one. Leaf springs all day. :flipgotcha:

You got the stickies now too fool. Bumps do work really well though, no signs of damage so far!
