I don't think that is a key component at this time.

Lay is ALOT further along than you may think... especially when it comes to "key" component's If he buckled down on plumbing and wiring and such this thing could be running in like a week no ****. I just dropped the engine in it so I could best locate his steering ram. We gotta wait on the shorter ORI's to show yet but this thing is well on its way to shake down ride loller.gif

Re: Lay's Solid MFG Chassis Build

 108WB / 6ft 2" at the highest point of the roof with 19.5" belly.... may change a little once I get the front ORI's and flirt with ride hieght.

Re: Lay's Solid MFG Chassis Build

but keep looking for me, I still have needs adn the money from the sheep tires burning holes and ****.

Lay, a 5.0? holy ****, you gonna try we-rock? waht axle gears, 3.08?
man, I like to live, as do many race/crawl guys, in the 40:1 range in low gear. even with a 4.10 in the axle, that's 3.9:1 on a case, meaning that a 3.8 tcase makes you 39:1 and a 4.3 makes you 44:1, which is still manageable because you won't need to go over 30 mph in low side most likely. Man, a 5.0 will have you at 51:1. that's deep. I run 30:1 in teh sheep with 44's and do most of what I want. I personally like 33:1 or so with 40" size tires, and 38:1 or so with 44's. Heath is 41:1 currently and shifts a LOT on a climb. he's out by about 25ish mph. it was bad on 40's, he was out right away, limiting in 3rd. Now with the 44's its about right.

Re: Lay's Solid MFG Chassis Build

FYI, you just went right over Lay's head. laughing1

Exactley. He will not change a thing about it once it is done. No hard feelings, but the way he works he want get to wheel that much once it gets done.
