i ll get use to it, dont worry about me thumb.gif

its really not that bad, its the fawkin steering wheel that is being a bitch but P has already come up with the way we are going to do it

Looks like the steering wheel could have better placement. Looks too close to the dash

that was us just messing around with it, it was up at my knees and that isnt going to cut it so we are goin to mount it closer to the dash like randy does in his chassis look at the build on priate of the koh buggy he just built that is where he mounts it really really close to the dash

Yep , I already mentioned cutting the dash bar out completely and starting over up there.... it needs it badly, he's so piled in the thing its beyond silly. It needs several more inches of height at the dash for the sake of ergonomic's ....

It needs to be like this rig... drool
i totally dig this rig, but that is the worst ****ing set of flames i have ever seen.... they look like ****ing "who hands"...

hey 35% guys even tho it's a cartoon come awn now!!!

that dash make sure the bottom edge isn't sharp cuz in the event of a rollover you don't want cut up shins. Lisa (Derek trent---TFab) had her shins get all cut up and bruised when they rolled one time in his old rig (TJ trugly-buggyish thing)

just letting everybody know im ok and alive :flipoff1:

on the other hand the buggy has been getting alittle att but not as much as it should :****:

the front and rear drive shafts are done waiting on me to put them in
90% of the wiring is done waiting on the dash to get done
the rest of it will be done when we mount the battery

the steering will be done when i get the sturts on

and look at these
finally they come in

I just found this thread and thought I would throw out a couple of things, I have built 12 of these chassis. The dash bars are almost always the same place in ever Jimmy's chassis. We don't use flat floor pans most of the time we step down were your feet are going to be, for more leg room and I try not to run a stright across fire wall, run the sides back towards the motor, this will also increase the leg room you have. My new chassis we added 3 inches of head room and a couple in the seating area just so I could get my old ass in and out better and be able to fly it with smacking my head. Sorry I just now found the thread, looks good P and Lay keep up the good work and post some pic's. I'll post some photo's of Brians Caddy buggy after K.O.H. race. We are redoing the whole thing with the new LS1, th350, so the floor pans and fire wall all have to be changed, we moved the motor WAY back and lower in the chassis so it would fly better, so the fire wall and floor pans will be a major pain in the ass.

yeah i didn't do my floor or firewall, and i wasn't there when it was done so it doesn't suit me at all but tonight i did alittle fabn on it :dblthumb:, i moved the drivers side firewall out to the bar that comes down, so its not straight down anymore, and it is a whole lot better, I'm going to talk to the guy who did it and let him add some more to the floor to connect the firewall again.right now there is about a 3" to 4" gap in between them and i also redid my pedals so i got about 3" to 4" of more leg room . I'm glad i did this because i didn't like it at all it was making me hate the buggy so now it about to be on :driving: i just have to sweet talk Paul to work on the piece of junk again

Hell, you just gotta wait for me to get some free time.. I still have all your steering parts so there's no sweat talkin required ! laughing1

Just spoke to Lay, he drove it fwd and backwards last night ( no steering ) so its really close. Im picking up a Jimmys4x4 hood for it at the Hammers as well so it will be ready for a beating real soon once we get back from Cali.

:woot:

well i put the front drive shaft in and guess what the funkin t-case is binding up its not the front end because we rolled it around with no front drive shaft in, the drive shaft isnt knuckling or anything like that because the angles are great, it does have slope in the front output front to back not side to side does anyone have any ideals and what really makes me mad is the mother fawker is 99% ready to ride just needs to mount the battery

make sure the shiters are right. I've had sheared off roll pins letting the fork float in a used case, I've had a bad rail grind job where they went more than 3/8"/7/16" on the twin stick letting them go hi one end and low the other. put both rails in neutral and try to spin the outputs independently. now put it in front only with the rear disco'd (you did twin stick it right?) and put the tranny in neutral or anything but park and jack up a front tire and spin the tire. My guess is you are bound in opposite ranges, but you could have bad guts. any old 205 guts will go in there with no problems. I've put 70's 4 speed **** in an 85 long female input case. it all swaps ford and chevy. pretty damn easy too unless you can't figure out the intermediate shaft preload. more is less on shims.

I have a 205 with good guts. I just need the tailshaft and we can work out the rest if needed.
