302 so whichever is strongest. :cool:

I don't have anything wrong with this motor, per se. But, I have seen many Toys (or smaller rigs in general) with the 302 in it, and they seem to have more problems than the ones with small block Chevy motors. I am not a "Chevy guy", in case you were wondering. I have seen a lot with overheating issues, and are far more expensive to find/replace parts. Just my two cents, nothing more...

I believe PORTER has a 4wd C-6 in a rig he is parting out.

My 302 runs icy cold.....rear mount rad and all

Not that there is a whole lot of cruiser left on Cody's rig, but for most people swapping V8s into FJs, the 302's smaller block translates to fewer cooling problems than the standard SBC swap.
 
Seats are in, and i got the engine hoist here so i can put the engine in tomorrow and tack the mounts one. Also plan on finishing the floor tomorrow.

Progress. :cool: Im gettin motivation again, and im horny.
 
Ya still want those headers? For mock up or purchase, doesnt matter to me.
