The snawsage version---- something

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Totally thought that was Mauler forgetting who's name he was logged in under again :redneck:

I try to catch him when he does that, the stinker, it just confuses the hell out of people. Well, anyone who knows me, knows anything technical/mechanical coming out of my "mouth" isn't me talking. And that anything "smart-assy" IS me talking :redneck:

:;

It was me asking............just that single pull rear winches(unless fullsize) don't really work.............. thats all.

Use some kind of pulley to double the pull. That's how most do it....I know with mine I don't think it would work well if at all single pull, that's with a 1500lb ATV winch.

Ok my mind set is right then :redneck:

I didn't even think that was an issue and I went with how the rig was built. I don't know if it matters any this is like a 3500# winch...

Ok here are the loads on the rig...

Taurus fan
On start:95 amps
Running:35 amp

Both p/s cooler fans
On start:26.6 amps
Running:10.8 amps

Trans cooler fan
On start:15 amps
Running:6.1 amps

Headlamps
On start:13.8 amps
Running:8.7 amps

Ok it was another step forward tonight. I was able to get the alt wired to the junction stud on the firewall along with both gauges :awesomework:

As you can tell I am very picky about wiring retention. So to retian the loom I ended up making some brackets for the loom to hold down to...

Ok----since I have been able to start it I have been seeing a coating of oil on the passenger side below the res tank for the steering.

Well I cleaned it off real good last night------and found we have an issue. The picture really doesnt show it real well---but it apears fluid is seeping out around the welds for the fittings that go to the pumps :booo:

also the pull is more controlled with it doubled

So I looked over the rig tonight--and I don't think its going to be real feasable to do this style on the rig (quickly looking). You have to remember how low the chassis is--and the fact of how how the diff is. When the wince is sucked down all the way--there is only a few inch's between the winch and the truss on the axle...

The front driveshaft is not looking good, I was at Deans today and some of the parts Robin gave him might not work.

Is it just me or is it the angle of that pic of the winch cable... But couldn't you run a pulley off of the axle directly and back up to the chassis rather than to the "bridge"?

Its hard to show the angle--but its just plain tight and no room down there without doing something rather crafty...
