Looking good!

Thanks, I need the constant motivation. It took almost an entire day to figure out the wiring using the FSM and the EZ Wiring..it was not a stress free endeavor, but....

Routed and wired up the Voltage regulator, alternator, fuel pump, ignition coil, temp/oil sensors and heater blower motor. Also swapped out the battery cables for some that were a little more flexible. Pulled the fender of for repair and other shenanigans.

Guess the dash wiring is tomorrow.

Not one place in Fairbanks had the right size spiral wire loom sooooooo, onto some other shenanigans. Patching a fender. First time welding sheet metal, fighting it out. Going to plug a few more holes and then add some tube.

Well, after 30 days of leave and putting over 3k in miles on my Ram I have visited Valdez, Denali, Anchorage, Soldotna, Kenai, and Homer.

-----DENALI, Riley Creek Campground, and various pics:

Valdez Glacier:

'Merica ...

Homer...

Motorhome purists must be either mad or in love:

I put in some good honest work on the my passenger side fender today. Have a bit more to do. The intent is to have a tube fender that is removable, yet sturdy.

Traced the tube while it was still attached so I could trim the fender...

Tore my glove some how..its okat becuae I fixed it :-)

started tacking and forming the sheet metal to the tube...

Done for the night ( yes it is this bright at 10pm this time of year. I will tweak it a bit more to get the apron on there right.

Looks nice! I originally was planning something like that for the fenders, but then I decided it would be a whole lot easier to just sawzall them off. :redneck:

Looks great! At least the second one should go a little quicker.
I hope so, at least this time I will have an idea of how to do what I am trying to do.

Wires routed and fastened. Need to install firewall grommets and block off the unused ones. Not happy with how shiny the fender came out, used a satin black thinking it would be duller, guess I will go with flat black and some clear on it and see how that comes out. Installed my new hinges from 69LC, worked out great, I recommend them. Post housing is coming through the neighborhood tomorrow so I did my best to make it look like it runs..they dont like parking lots and driveway filled with project cars or dead vehicles.

Its the Kenai, happens every year when the reds run. I am actually thinking about retiring there, great off road community, fishing, hunting etc.

It was awesome seeing the atv trails down the side of the road, and ATVS pulling right up to fuel pumps. I could definitely live up there. Great scenery. I envy you and Kyle. :awesomework::awesomework::swing::cheer::beer:

haha you wouldn't when its 50 below trust me

10 hours south it does not get to 50 below, not all of Alaska is Fairbanks. Just like 10 hours North in Prudoh bay it has an average summer temp of 40 above. Alaska is not a tiny state like Texas :fawkdancesmiley:

This is the average temps for Soldotna on the Kenai peninsula.
