Van Epps pass

:eeek:Wheelers don't do acceptance. You know this.

We are the entitlement recreation segment generation.:cheer:

What feeling of entitlement could possibly be greater than to criminalize the very presence of other individuals in the woods purely so you can have ALL the woods all to yourself? Go look at the type of camping facilities DNR builds with our tax money so people can ride a horse around, or hike. How many acres of land do hiker and hunters have over us, yet we are entitled?

I see a recurring tone and theme to your posts on here, yotadude97. We all have them. But when I take all your posts from Reiter to seasonal closures into context, I see a dude whom when The Sisters corner you in Shawshank Prison you're the guy who immediately bends over, drops your undies and spreads your cheeks. "Well guys, if its what you say I have to do."

What is being done to good honest motorized recreationists is no different than what was being done to Jews in Germany during the late 30s. You are right. We will not accept the "necessary changes" because to most of us a getto until the gas chamber is unacceptable. We feel "entitled" to not going out that way.

I am a wheeler. I have found what I love to do. I will continue to do what I love even once your dreams come true and it is no longer legal to wheel in the US. I do not want to take anything from anyone else. I only want to be left alone to do what I want to do. I don't need your help or tax dollars, your "engineered million dollar ORV trails" or your horse and hiking areas. Like all the wheelers I know I want nothing I cannot provide for myself. This makes us the least entitled group in the country.

Entitled are the people who reach outside of their space and tell others what they can and cannot do. No man is more entitled than he who would make it his business to restrict or regulate the liberties of others. There is no higher definition of entitlement than to want an entire Wilderness area all to yourself. A Wilderness area I pay taxes on too.

I've seen you on here too. I have enjoyed and agreed with most of your posts.......this one included.:awesomework: If there were more of you, my posts could be different. But "we" are too few. Keep up the rhetoric. It's all we have left.

You know the best way to stop the closures? Donate your time to the Forrest Service. Get involved in their jobs, how do you think the tree huggers are so strong, they are the ones running the show! Back in the 60-70's they got college educations and took over the Forrest service. Their generations are still running it , and no one from any other form of recreation has stepped up to slow them down. Think about it!

Think about it!

This is the problem; they have.:eeek: And in their conclusions, some seem to think that keeping secrets saves them from personal responsibility. Wrong! Others are the opposite. They think that club runs and work parties will save the trails. Not true! Then there are the NWW'ers.:awesomework:They seem to think that typing on their keyboard will save themselves and the others.......somehow.:haha:

I don't know. I don't have the answers for ORV users. I'm not in the ORV jail any longer. I finally escaped last year.

Secrets are good:fawkdancesmiley:

Secrets are good:fawkdancesmiley:

Most secrets are actually common knowledge, if you think about it. It's when you stop thinking that the secrets morph into something they are not. :fawkdancesmiley::cool:

For instance: this thread has no impact on the opening, nor closure, of Van Epps trail and the surrounding ORV trails/area. Yet there has been emphasis placed, and assumptions made, that simply discussing an ORV area somehow puts it in danger.:eeek:

This is irrational secrecy. And.....it's not secret! See what I mean?

These subjects and threads are viewed by all sorts of folks that are NOT wheelers. They monitor activity here. I have seen proof of officials surfing this site for current "wheeler" info.

I dont think ANY good comes of talking about it on public forums.

Keep sharing all these places with the rest of the web and see how long it takes to overun it with traffic.

I dont know you, I have never seen you, I have never wheeled with you.

I have NO interest in discussing any wheeling spots with YOU on a PUBLIC forum.

You are right none of this **** is secret it just took me along time to understand not to talk to much about places like this on the web or they seem to go away and I know that will happen anyway so I'm trying to just not help it along anymore.:hi:

How would one know if they were/were not?

Back-country skiers have photographed snowmobile tracks in the wilderness in the past in this area.

It has gone far enough that several local snowmobilers volunteered and posted signs in trees 10ft+ off the ground on the wilderness boundary so they can be seen even when there is snow on the ground.
