I would have bought the XP 900 if they would have used A-arms in the rear. I dont see the trailing arm set up holding up to trail riding. No protection at all.

Yep that lower bar on the back is gonna look like a horse shoe before the end of the first ride!! :****:

sorry i think you are making too much out of that bar back there. I'm sure some will get taco'd but I just cant see it being as bad as you guys are making it out to be.

I hope you are right. I didnt want to take a chance on spending $16,000 and not be able to ride the trails we always ride. Some guy is taking his to Coal Creek this weekend, Im courious to see how it does up there because that is where we ride the most. If he hits trail #12, the lower bars and axles will be tested for sure. I just sold an Outlander 800, and it has rear trailing arms. They SUCK!!! :****:

The first thing i noticed on the XP was the bars, them and the axles is just kinda out there in wide open. But im sure they will hold ok. I couldn't have a XP because i couldn't ride it on local trails because its freakin wide. All in all its a bad ass machine that has more than enough power i was really suprised how much more power it was

The exhaust is WEAK :****: ...sounds weird!

I may be going overboard........but doubt it.
Everybody that has one knows that the stock skid only last for about 2 to 3 good rides if that.
If your sliding the belly on rocks and it gets to a open space(Highlighted in yellow in pic) we all as crawlers know what it is going to do.
No different than when the belly of your crawler slides over a rock but then gets hung on your rear end.
Only diff here is that lil ol bar is not going to hold up like the rear axle of a buggy!!

The trailing arms aint no different than on a 4 link rear of a buggy, they get hung up on **** too. but Polaris really needs some guards for the axle shafts. That Damn thing WILL tote the mail! :driving:

Im not talking bout the trailing arms :

They run parallel with it.
Its the rear connecting bars that are perpendicular that Im talkin bout.
If your 4 link on ur buggy looks like that U might wanna take it back to the shop molaugh

Maybe it will prove me wngrog and not end up InDaShop :cougar:

The connecting rods do suck for rocks. I say the trailing arms will be a bonus not a hindrance.
