Re: Hunting a Trailer

(Sorry for the hijack)

This thing doesn't have the extra cab but I wonder if it would have been reliable? I wonder if it would pull a lot better than the tacoma?

Part of my problem is that when I'm not actually wheeling I'm surrounded by computer nerds, accountants, and a dentist (my friends). I just don't get exposed diesel 4x4s outside of the overblown "20 mpg while towing/last 500,000 miles/any speed on any hill" praise I see on the forums. My friends drive japanese SUVs and Camrys so it's hard to tell if a 277k mile old ford is a winner or not. :dunno:

Re: Hunting a Trailer

Oh yeah, then ****ers like this catch my attention with the scams every day: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/815239577.html

Re: Hunting a Trailer

I would leave it alone for the most part. The stock donaldson filter out flows any filter including the full KN BS, donaldsons are the filters of choice in the M1 abrams tank. Only chip I would reccomend is a superchips flashpaq anything else will temp you to peel the **** out. Exhaust either way, I am young and dumb and like it loud, so I am turbo back with no muffler or cat, but either way mileage wont really change. Biggest thing is light foot, which Is why I only get 14.6 but I have fun.

buy it

Re: Hunting a Trailer

I'll keep the "buy it" advice in mind but that particular truck is sold. I wrote to him last night.

Re: Hunting a Trailer

I would do Exhaust and a PPE programmer and of course some gauges. PPE is the best programmer made for the Duramax. Edge sucks balls, I went through 3 or 4 of them.

Re: Hunting a Trailer

Miles just passed through my town and is on his way to Indy to get the trailer in Heath's pimp Dodge. :woody: "No brake lights, but has running and turn....typical, but it has 19-fives so we shouldn't have any tire issues....always something" laughing1

Re: Hunting a Trailer

Miles needs to load that thing down with hookers on his way home, get some use out of the living quarters pepper.gif

Re: Hunting a Trailer

Will anyone be passing Columbia, MO on I-70 en route to Houston? I have a set of tires I need to get to Oklahoma City.
