Its none of my business, but how much did you have to pay for the tires? I started a new job at work and I will be building them in the next few months. Just curious . I understand if you don't wana say.

They are real similar in price to the Maxxis comp price of $325/tire and they pay the shipping to you

Hey Wyatt....I would not worry about that too much. The free market will win out every time. Rockcrawling has been BFGs world for years but all they ever do is offer contingencies for those running their tires.

Also, Matt......price is up on the stickies across the board. I will be shocked if Wyatt's came is at $325 shipped.

I am pumped to start building them, I built Drag Radials and Hooters series racing tires today.
Also gonna start building Baja Tires.

When you gonna score a set?

I asked Monday about them and one of the ladies that knows alot about them and is over something in the department told me it wouldn't ever happen unless I sign up like Wyatt.
She tried to tell me I could get Blue lables and they work just as good. I told her those were weak. I think I caught her off guard when I started telling her about the Red labels, she didn't think I knew what I was talking about.
Im gonna wear my Interco Tire shirt to work Friday and see what they say. HAHA

Huh? All 6 are for the wife, they are my condoms.

EDIT: Got home, and confirmed, yep 6-39" Red labels waiting for me. WOOT!

Yeah , Paul I'll probably sell the Treps. However, I'm thinking this will be my 1st and last year running BFG's if XRRA starts making all entrants run MAXXIS, as its "The MAXXIS XRRA" now. I've heard some talk about any vehicle not wearing Maxxis wont be photo'd or video'd at the XRRA races for series & promo use.

Thats fine and dandy, they wanna send me some free tires I'll run the **** outta them.

I know someone interested in the Treps when if you decide to holla with a price..

Most guys are running the maxxis for 2 reasons
1. they're the only one offering a contingency prize, bfg is considering it
2. side walls are a bit tougher than others

I'm signed up on both bfg and maxxis race programs, wonder if they'll care? It's not there decisions since I still have to buy the damn things
I run bfg's on the stock mod rig in RROCK and running the creepy crawlers in XRRA
35" maxxis were more than the krawlers and not any better, plus I already have spare 35" krawler
maxxis doesn't require you to buy a spare for their program, bfg does. This makes 4 maxxis cheaper than 5 bfg's
bfg requires you to run a patch on the "uniforms" and a sticker on each side of the rig - it's pretty big too.
I got no requirements so far from maxxis

But for the contingency you have to finish the race on 4 maxxis tires, kicker here is if you blow a tire your probably not gonna win anyway so..

Im stupid as far as the contingency's and all that go. Havent even looked into one of them.. So your saying the Maxxis one is "finishing" the race on thier tires ? dunno

Not that it really matters cause I can not afford anything other than what I have anyway.. Im planning to steal Capt Carls wheels and tires for spares laughing

Yeah there are.
A MINIMUM OF THREE (3) MAXXIS 24" DECALS MUST BE DISPLAYED ON THE VEHICLE AND ONE 3' X 10' BANNER IN THE PITS.

BFG patch is about 1.5" x 5" required on uniforms
BFG sticker is about 4" x 24" two required on each side of the vehichle in a prominent location.

well I didn't sign up for that and still got tires??
You might want to check. That was in the paperwork I had from Maxxis about sponsorship. I ended up going with BFG for a number of other reasons.

just called them

2 stickers are required - they're in the mail now - they kinda left that out
If they don't send me a banner I can't display one so....

everything I've done is over the phone, I thought it was a lot quicker than bfg
but I have also competed before

Due to some timing issues....blah blah blah
I started assembling my beadlocks.
Maxxis are off, and BFG's are on. I've got half the holes chased that need chased and those have their new inserts in them already. I got one bolted solid last night before wife and kid got home and ended garage time. **** looks good. But now I HAVE to repolish the wheels as the rings are way too bling for the dirty as wheels.
Mounted and pics to hopefully come this weekend. The new lockrings are the ****. You barely even realize its a WE wheel.

I guess I missed it... what rings are you going to run ?

Are you silly con the tire at all to help with the Maxxis "bead bleed" ?

Wyatt, you should definately lay a thick bead of silicone around the non-locked edge of the wheel/tire. The sticky tires leak like a mofo around the back bead. It is not just a Maxxis thing either, I know Nolen had the same problem with his. You need to silicone it just before you seat the bead, so it doesn't dry. I am doing this to all my wheels/tires, because I am tired of loosing air off the back bead.
