Re: S10 build sas aka rasta truck

Go to DIY4x.com or Barnes and buy some tabs, it will save a LOT of time, and help keep your rig from looking like a hacked together piece of crap

Re:

If you're running 1.25" od for links they will taco before you release the clutch. Especially at that length. 2" x .25" minimum

Re: S10 build sas aka rasta truck

1.25" x .25" I know two or three guys who have it done with this and have no problem with it bending

Best of luck to you sir.
Me tie-rod was made of that size, which looks to be shorter than your links and I put a good bow in it.

Re: S10 build sas aka rasta truck

Just a suggestion (it's your build, do it like you want it) get those link mounts off the bottom of the axle. They are gonna be boat anchors when you get on the rocks. Your lower links are extremely long. The longer the link, the more likely it is to bend.

Re: S10 build sas aka rasta truck

Mine are 36" bolt to bolt. They should be no longer than 40" in my opinion.

Re: S10 build sas aka rasta truck

Ours are 38 eye to eye. Do some shopping they sell the link brackets very reasonable these days,

"Pipe" is not what you want. You need TUBE. There is a difference. For links you want DOM tube. Because I'm on a tight budget I did use 2"x.250 wall square tube on my front links but I also made sure to use good inserts and joints. I am also a crawler and not a bouncer. I daily drive my rig.

Re: S10 build sas aka rasta truck

Dual leaf springs are great for lift on a budget. Go for it and be sure to post some pics! I can always use ideas.
