6.0 Horsepower upgrades?

the 6.0 is the same as an ls1, 5.3, and 4.8 as far as the bolt pattern

True. But there are concerns as far as flywheel goes. I'm not sure what they are.

isnt there an msd ignition kit you can do to get a good bit of HP?

There is a multi-spark ignition module available that sparks each plug many times for each ignition but I haven't heard of it adding that much hp or many people running ti for that matter. Anything else an MSD could do is easily achieved via the stock ECM programming. All aspects of timming are controlled by the ECM and to buy an MSD to modify it would be redundant IMO.

That was a good read.

Any opinions on throttle bodies. I need to get mine and I can get a stock 75mm one for $50 or a ported and polished 80mm one for $100. Just not sure if there is any real reason to go bigger?

I'm not a TB specialist but it seems to me that if you go bigger than stock you would also have to go bigger than stock with the MAF. And if you do all that you then need some dyno-tuning time as the MAF tables in the stock EFI configuratin are the single largest factor in fuel delivery for the ECM. I could be wrong, this is just my own logic.

You'll probably get yours together before mine. Let me know what works. I don't think you'll have to shave the heads and block. I was told they would line up fine. I still have to get rockers for my heads. Oh, let us know what cam your running. I am going to try and sqeeze all I can out of my setup.
My sentence structure sucks. If you didn't see my screen name you would think I'm Kelly.

You don't HAVE to shave the heads and block. Ideally you would shave both. If you do neither you loose compression ratio. If you do one or the other the threads don't mate "properly." Whether that means anything to you is up to you.

I'm just repeating what a shop told me. Guys who have done the builds not something I read on the interweb.
I asked the guy who ran the shop if I was going to have to shave the heads and block and he grinned and shook his head no.
Still would like to know which direction you go and what you did and how much power.

I bought the other set he had. Should have mine together and running in the next month. I won't be shaving heads or block.
I would ask Travis the same question , but he will never have time to dyno his. I think he still rides twice a week. :****:

Possible. whats the plan.
Call me

JJ, any source you know of for flow thru rails for a L92? What about fuel regulator? My current intake has regulator and return rail, so I'm trying to figure out simplest way to adapt the new intake.
