Anybody run Iron goat/new years?

Mark, normally I enjoy your pointless rhetoric but this is plain ****ing retarded!

You need law enforcement to tell you trashing a place is a bad idea? Asking someone to clean up there mess is a responsible and rational act. If they are douches why shouldn't they be called out by fellow users. Even if there was a heavy enforcement presence, odds are they would not have been at the right place/ right time.

The problem is that there's really nothing we can do about it. Plate number is useless....We could be outlaws and dump trash at their house or punch em in the nose or......Short of call the cops there's nothing we can do. If there were cops around who would actually respond then we could call them.

You are right. We need to send video evidence to the police. :awesomework:

With all the flat phones and pod pads out there today, I'm sure we could make this happen.

Sure we could but it won't make a **** of difference. Maybe it would inspire a LEO to talk with them but that's all he could do without being there.

Police our own however we can because that was the simple point of this thread.

We can argu the law side of it all day long and we have. Till then we can only do what we can within our own community.

I know there's no point to getting leo's involved, what's done is done. My point is that if people made it a point (like the snowcat op did) to confront people doing these things, it may push the point home that it is not acceptable behavior and we the general witnesses are not going to put up with it. That coupled with the fact that Mike has a suspicion of who it was makes it a possibility that they could be notified after the fact by an acquaintance that knows they were seen. Even if they don't care, they may realize that it's a small world and shitty behavior will come back to bite your ass in the end. Hopefully it's enough to think twice next time.

Hopefully if we (everyone) keep our eyes open instead of walking with our head down. We can change the little **** that affects us most.

Are you talking about illegal dumping? Because if you caught someone on video of illegal dumping and then turned it into the landowner, I'm sure it would cause a stink.

You're passionate......that's good.:awesomework:

Not really, but I'm also not the type to watch someone do something like that and not say something. I got in a pretty heated argument with a shooter in the rock pit at Elbe. All I did was stop and nicely ask the guys to make sure and clean up the targets/shells when they were finished. One of the 4 became irate and started screaming at me. The other guys were all cool. He made it very clear he had a pistol, I said no **** and showed him mine. We kinda left it at that. When I came back they were gone and cleaned up after themselves.

I'm not assuming they would have left a mess if I didn't stop, but at least they knew it was expected that they not leave a mess like everyone else.
It wasn't the most pleasant experience but it wont stop me from doing it again next time.

The thread is about littering but even a video of illegal dumping would be a stretch to prosecute in many cases..

Really the problem is the crime isn't enough to matter in the eyes of the law. Sure it pisses people off but what would a LEO do even if they were right there and saw it happen? Write a $47 ticket?

My word against his and his 3 friends. He never directly threatened me or pointed it at me. He might have had a few breakfast beers and been feeling dumb.

Why wouldn't they, if turned into the proper authorities?

Seriously, how many people turn people in?

If he told you he was consealing then the cop varifies it's true it doesn't matter how many whitnesses he has he's busted. Reason being how would you know unless he told you? Why would he tell you other than to intimidate?
Stupid people with guns is a real bad thing and should be stopped if we can.

WTF are you talking about?

You are saying that if someone says they are carrying CONCEALED AND they are intoxicated then they are breaking the law?

I'd like to see the RCW's on that.

In this case, if I am carrying OPEN and I am intoxicated, I am within the law?

Not saying it isn't true, but If I find the rules before you I told you so.
