I just got my tie rod ends installed, steering arms painted, studs retorqued, Longfields installed, hub gears installed, and steering adjusted. Where you at Aaron? :D

in seattle, tomorrow and sunday will have plenty of work happening... I should be able to finish up the first crossmember, then finish welding up the steering rods, and adjust them in close. Put the np203 up and in for the next phase of crossmembering:redneck:

Nice. I will be taking my truck out for another test run tomorrow if all goes well. I just need to cut off the stock lower shock mounts up front, install the new ones I made and get the shocks mounted for the test. If all looks good after that, then I will be installing the shock hoop gussets and the front will be done.

So, JThompson came over sunday morning to help me put in the np203 and tonight his brother London Gentleman came over and helped me put in the np205, so now it is a matter of building a crossmember for the np205... I think I am going to "bridge" the two x-members and tie into the np203 in doing so, to support that t-case. Getting closer.... plus the d-line lengths are now obtainable.:awesomework:

Hanging around:

It hangs down more than I wanted but moving it up would require me to "modify" the floor:redneck:

also attached the steering tie rod and drag link, I still need dust boots, I seemed to have lost them:mad:

IMG_5016Medium.jpg

The drag link mounts to the back side of the tie rod, due to my steering box being not pushed forward, but this still steers WAAAY better than my old setup.:awesomework:

Nice work man!!!:awesomework: The beast is coming together nicely:cool: Its really weird to look at the t-case and axle and think that those were under my fullsize 6months ago:redneck:

Looks really good man, I've been busting my ass on my yota to, maybe we can do a shake down run together or sumthing:beer:

Just an FYI....that rear 9" housing is the housing you want if you wanted to build a 609 front.Thats an old "banjo" or round style housing that necks down to the tude really quick and allows you cram youre short side knuckle really close to the third member without hacking a bunch of the housing away. You can always use a Diamond housing...but that costs $ and not quite as cool as junkyard stuff.

How can you tell from the picture? I'm curious to know cus i have another one laying around...:corn:

You say it necks down, but this one i don't think necks down at all....or are you talking the axle shaft?

Hmm....maybe a F&R high 9" should be the next project:stirpot:
