Concerning Reiter--up and coming.

yes that his name like i said this was awhile ago. So if thats how they feel on the subject now then i guess it's a no go. Now this is just a question don't freak out would it really be considered creating a new trail since it already exists and is just not a popular trail.

Once we hit that stage--I would love to see a trail so we would never need to get close to the road. But until that day we are kinda in a corner.

I agree it would be nice to be able to from are to area on trails not a road of any sort. Sort naches-ish if you will

that trail ends up at the top of Rock Garden,,,it was a bitch on my cycle and walked a while back,,I think it is not doable.. but for some I bet it could..lol

Money and Mark M. Said it best. I'm with them.

Leave it all alone. No point in stirring up too much drama. Steet leagals can go their way. We go ours or risk getting a ticket.

...Although..that will add A LOT of time getting down to the main lot...Sheeeit..:scratchhead:

Risking driving down the road and getting a ticket is the wrong way to be thinking of this, it all goes to the "I'll do whatever the **** I want attitude" which is the primary reason why we've lost trails in the past and will continue to loose them in the future.

One thing thats killing us up there right now and is going to kill us when the switch is turned.

OM is a trail--this has nothing to do with trails..

So your making a stink over this why? Your not going to use it nor help with it--so whats your point in this except to stir up drama?
No. What I meant was there is already a way to get there with out making any new trails but you need to be able to make it up and down the poop shoot. And since we can't really make any new trails I guess i don't understand what the big deal is in using that way other than it sounds like you want to make a trail that any rig can do. And that why I said what I said about the OM.
As far as driving on the road I'm sure they don't mind all the money they will make from the tickets,. Thats part of the reason there up there to make money.

....Basicly look at it this way---would you like to see an 8ft wide tracko run down our trials knocking everything out of the way--oh hell no....

Yeah, that does suck!!!! Check out the upper section of Lower Mainline @ Walker sometime:mad::mad::mad:...completely obliviated by the loggers, and then we and DNR had to rebuild it (of course way easier than before...) on our dimes...:mad:

That's a big reason LEO's aren't up there that often. They can make more money giving speeding tickets in town.

That's what that land is for. Eventually the same thing will happen at Reiter too.

So your saying its fair for a small rig, who cannot make it up the poopchute to risk getting a ticket? The poopschute could be made easy--but who's going to foot the bill? Who's going to put the labor into doing so? Are you? Not at all..

As for "making new trail"--where have I specified of making a new trail?

I believe I stated I was going to take david way and look at the options of whats there.

Excluding folks from being able to access the "trails" isn't fair.

Yeah, I know---just rantin' (& helping make that point mike stated); There is a plan in the works, but will be abit before anything happens... If there is a way to make it happen, hopefully Mike and David (and whomever else) can come up with a plan... is trail re-working possible on strictly user- volunteered basis (equip/manpower)??? In other words, no $$ out of DNR's pockets?

so I'm trying to figure out why the LEO's are so concerned about non-street legal rigs driving down a fairly remote road? This might be a pointless fight, but I would think it'd be easier to pettition snohomish county for unlimited access on a section of road than it would be to get fish and wildlife, dnr, and the other state agencies to give us another trail.

There were three LEOs at the fall work party, one person performing a roadblock at the intersection of the fish hatchery. He was giving tickets to those helping out on the cleanup  Then he comes back and gets food from the potluck!

Perhaps I'm an eternal optimist, but if enough people go down to the county council, we might be able to get some mandate sent down to open the road.

Its call liability.. If you think about it--it makes sense. If they let non street legal vehicles on a county road--and there is an accident. What do you think will happen in todays society? Shitty yes but its the way of crap these days.

Going down poopshoot is easy enough for me, but going up would be a totally different story....guess I better start redoing my rig for the 5th time!!!
