ORV Leadership

I like where money is going. He's simply trying to simplify the system. He's not trying to rework everything. He certainly isn't criticizing past efforts and all the valuable work many leaders have done for our sport... he's really just trying to inspire people to be more proactive while on the trail.

I ain't grate wit wordz:redneck:....you are better. Yes! Thank you.

You are correct Teddy bear.:D Crash is making points, I'm making counter points. This thread is not for me or Crash......it's for all ORV users.

If I may, I am the mediator and advocate. The devils advocate with a good intent.

Your doing good, Keep it up!!

There is a group of users that have already started an Allaince/ Co-Op we actually have the Mt. Bikers on board for the most part. With Evergreen Mt. Biking Alliance showing interest. DNR itself is pushing big time for a Multi-user Co-Op/ Alliance to help "direct" the legislation.

There is power in numbers plain and simple. If we could just get ACORN on board we would have it made....:eeek: Seriously though, I'll keep ya'll posted as things progress. It looks very favorable. Dirt Bikers, Mt, Bikers, 4x4 ( yes Yotas are included) ATV and Horseback riders are fed up with the BS that WA. State and a few select tree huggers have created. Not to mention the 1% of those group that are nitwits and screw it up for everyone. DNR is also looking as aggressively firing up the Forest Watch Program again. So who know what will happen. But you will never know if you don't try.

Very well said Ted.. You type like the wife does :awesomework:

Thanks, but I have never yet seen Mrs. C be long winded about anything.

One liners glore, Yes, there she is right up there near where CrustyJeep is!!

Have we all chosen "a guy"? Sent him a PM about how you can help?

Just cause Crashy-poo and I talked it out for all to see, doesn't mean my suggestion has been kiboshed.

Atleast post here in this thread to show your interest. I'm talking to you!

Best way to start this thing is to show all your online friends that you're not a 1%.

Don't make me call your mother........:5bitch:

Thats why you ask for help--find somebody within your olwn group who can--be a voice for you all..

You miss understood what I said.. I'm saying we have been offering our help for years, but we never get a heads up or even notice of anything going on. = static

One thing I would like to add. I am no "leader". I have one thing I do/love and thats the work out in the field. There are more smaller aspects of it that I do though

Crash, you don't seem to want to be a leader, or realize that you are. You are a leader whether you realize it or not, and one of the best kind.....you lead by example. Yer out there doin it, protecting it, maintaining it, yes, I'm gonna say it........Yer a shining beacon to the wheeling community.:awesomework:

In the relm of things maybe I am--I never look at it from that angle though. Do I have all the qualities to be a good leader--I don't think I do really. I am horible speaking to large groups. Comprehending from my brain to the keyboard isn't always like I want it to be--to the point I look stupid at times.
I just "try" to do whats right.....

So many folks are involved that dont wheel.

So many folks wheel that are not involved.

Who is an actual user?:corn:

I am biased towards folks I see on the trail, not folks behind the scenes.

I have met one person from behind the scenes on the trail too. Only one.

I am cornfusalled.:scratchhead:

Does it really matter who an "actual" user is? Not at all. If it helps our cause then thats all that matters. Weather you agree or not we need folks who are behind the scenes and in actuality if they were not there we would be even worse off than we are now.

I don't agree because people who aren't out in the "real world" won't be able to understand the issues first hand. Hands on experience means alot......Not that people behind the scenes are wasting their time but I think they may be more efficeint or understanding with first hand experience..

Thats why you need cummunication between both aspects in the field and behind the scenes.
