Pokeys rebuild

that was rocky saddle and it was a mech malfunction :haha: I aint afraid of no damn trail:kissmyass:
Loose nut behind the wheel???:redneck: And that'd be great if you need help Sat...I'm up for it...hell, even if you do get yours ready and don't need a ride we'd still like to run Q/K with ya Sat......:awesomework:

I also think we're gonna run Rocky Saddle again...BodyDamage(Sasha) has a bone to pick with that trail:eeek: :haha: .....

so close I can smell the dirt :cheer: Now if this pesky azz work would lighten up I might just get it finished by early July. Going this weekend to get the cage done and a few other goodies :cheer: It will be good to have my own rig again:cheer:

Is it Thursday already :haha: Look forward to seeing you Sunday evening Jim :awesomework:

Why didn't you go with a fuel cell? Then you could just move that rear axle back a bit and possible fix that angle a tad.

its already back 2 inches and I dont want to hack away at the body to maintain a "stock" appearance. I think when I take out the add a leaves and start adding weight it will be fine. If not then I will be building a 18 TC for it to drop the output down.

Well Jim dropped off the rig to me lastnight and I got going on it tonight :cheer:

To get started I had to get the rear end all lined up. The passenger rear was a good half inch plus out of wack to I got creative with the straps and got it as square as you can on a rig this old :haha:

Then put a little piece in to support it until the cage ties it all together

Much better :awesomework:

Jim and I had tossed a few ideas on how to do the A-Pillar and he wanted a traditional hoop so a hoop he got. :redneck: This will also allow me to kick out the tube that runs from the A and B billar to help keep the trees off the windshield. boobies

Need to grab a few measurements to make sure the top will fit and then do the b-pillar and support running to the back :;

Looks good Andy I am suprised you did the front hoop that way I just figured you were going the other way. That tub needed a little tweaking back there:redneck: I figure once the rear of the cage is in it will hold it together:cheer: This is going to be kinda weird watching my own junk get worked on:haha:

Ya me too :haha: No, this will work to get the kick out you wanted :;

After recovering from going back East for the weekend it was time to get back on Pokey's rig.

The first order of business was to make all the plates to mash the floor and cage together:

I think this bit got a little pissed off :haha:

All ready pilot holed and ready

and an hour later all 6 sets are done

With the plates out of the way I could finally get moving on the cage

With the front half pretty much set I could do a little on the rear too:

With the basic part of the cage done I can now get moving on attaching it to the frame then add all the cross bracing and seat mounts :awesomework:

Shouldn't these be different sizes?
I understand they will be sandwiching the body which will hold the cage but won't the two same size plates act as a punch on the body? Are the stock body mounts being used to hold the body?

Please keep the pictures coming.
