well the rig lost more sheet metal last night :D Decided I wanted the b-pillar farther forward. and jack---sell them doors :D

I also made the first bend for the rig last night so thats a good sign right :D

(also won't have pics till sat)

If you need a strong weld with less heat soaking than MIG then swap out the gas for 2% oxygen increase the feed (max it out basically) and spray arc it.

Spray arc burns hotter than MIG but it's a very fast welding process used in production environments alot. As it burns hotter and faster you do not have the dwell time in any one spot too long so even though it burns hotter the heat affected area is less than standard MIG or TIG. Currie uses this process on their axle housing, quicker welds, good penetration and less axle warp.

So I origionally was going to cut out the rocker and use some square tubing. But I decided to take a different aproach this time---life is boring not using the imagination :;

I had just enough time to get the b-pillars done. But dammmit----I was off a degree and a half so I mihgt scrap it :mad:

Thanks Mike. I do believe your idea will work on the bike. Like I said, if it doesn't, there's always the spare set.
