Now the thought process started. I went ahead and did some rough cuts for where the b-pillar will come down and meet the body.

So at this point I am actually ready to start bending a couple pieces :cheer:

I'm still waiting to hear the rational behind the tack...tack...tack...method of welding?

I know it is popping up all over the place and there is more than one discussion about it on Pirate as well.

Poison Spyder is a major user of this and I saw their **** 1st hand on Golden Spike in Moab. The guy actually asked me what I thought...

...I bit my tongue as he didn't have a clue and paid through the ass for all the parts & labor and I just didn't hav ethe heart to tell him.

I'm not picking on Mike nor am I questioning his fab skillz cause I know they are better than good so thats why I'm asking.

I typically don't weld like that---I needed some penetration with little heat as possable---quick pass. Laying dimes is another term I have heard. But I think you typically get that with tig..
