Project "Secret Squirrel"

So I have been poking along on the rig and been doing more wiring. So I basically got all the main power and ground cables done. I also got the wiring finished off from the front to the tail of the rig with everything at the back all wired.... Basically alot of tidias(sp) work.

Once all the main powers/grounds were done I decided to start checking a few things like the lights/fuel pump/cranks over ect ect. Well at first it would not crank over---duh I forgot about the clutch switch DOH....

Another thing we got figured out and jack brought it up to me today--the fuel fittings at the engine. We went with a 12mm x 1.25 to -6AN fitting

I also started making the fan mount for the radiator and that will be done first thing in the am.

And to add a lil more excitement for jack--since the fuel system was not complete---I was interested if this thing would fire off--so I sprayed some brake clean into the throttle body--and the biotch fired off

Ok so I got the fan mounts done up---There is foam between the fan and the rad and the fan fits very snugly against the rad--turned out perfect and it a pice of cake to pop off if need be..

I also replaced that POS connector with a weatherpack sealed conector and then tested the fan operation---it moves a nice amount of air....

Ok so one thing that kept bugging me was the upper coil over mounts--the coilovers were just tilted in too far forward and inboard.. So I knocked the tack welds off and threw the mounts away (Ok I aimed for my rig,lol)..

So I redid the uppers and I was much happier with how they sit now....

And I also got the hard line portion of the fuel lines all done..

Is it safe to say you gained you 5 degrees back:kiss:

Looks like it won't be long and some hot laps will be in line:cheer:

So I had to head into town this morning and grabbed my list of needed parts. Ever have one of those parts guys who--must have partied too much the night before--ya gotta love to throw them some hard parts to find--ya he had a hard time cutting me the right fuel line,lol..

So I got the fuel system 100% done......

So since I just happen to also have enough brake line--I figured I would go ahead and get the rear portion of the brake lines all done up too--hell I was on a roll. Of course all the caffine I had drank didn't hurt any either,lol...

Jack had purchased a full PSE system (pump/res and cooler). I had used there stuff a few times now and I have always been pretty happy with there products. It was nice the pump bolted right into the stock toy pump bracket--made it slick (I made jack to that, lol). So since the pump was mounted I figured it was time to find out where I was going to mount the res tank--things are getting tight and I can't mount it on the fender well.

Well here is what I came up with for a mount--its pretty tight..

jack245.jpg

And here it is mounted--its tucked up in there pretty sug..

Cover those purdy red heavy gage wires with some of that black plastic wire loom stuff..(zappy zappy, fire extinguisher)

So now I only have 2 more things to figure out--one being the cooler lines to the rear rad. and the other the steering shaft. So I went to the hardware store and looked around and finally figured out what material I want to run---- and I came up with 1 1/4" copper tubing. So now I gotta figure out exactly how I wanna do it. The other I still need to do some digging on--the steering shaft..

So I got a wild hair up and threw a little gas in the fuel cell--primed the system and checked for leaks. Then figured I would see if the rig started and ran :redneck:
