Randy was fine on the memberships. I don't think compensation goes beyond club MEMBERS. I planned to let the extra helpers that I bring stay in my free room. I don't beleive MM memberships are divisible. Eight memberships $1600 value plus eight event passes $400 value. Zero dollars out of pocket costs and Hardlines admission dollars for 1 year. Let me know if I need to renegotiate!
 
i think anyone that work should get something even the free membership is a good deal for him if you look at the cost. i will leave the house on saturday morning at 4 am and will not get home until midnight so thats 18 hours plus $100 in fuel that comes to $5.50 hr. and i still have to buy food so he is getting a good deal. i would not ask someone to come help if they are not getting paid
 
The primary focus was volunteer... lets not lose sight of that .

why do we owe him to volunteer.he is making money on the ride if it was for charity then i am all in but if we are doing it to give us a good name then hell everyone can come to my shop and work free for a day and i will tell everyone what great guys the hardline crew is

We dont owe him to volunteer , thats why its called volunteer, if you dont want to dont. Go ride that weekend and pay like all the other folks going.

I kinda think your missing the entire point. Randy needs help, we collectively want to set a good example as a club. We collectively, SHOULD want to support ORV Parks in anyway we can.
 
I don't know if my volunteerism would extend to Wheelin in the Country. Randy asked for our help. Those of that are able will. MMORV has been very cooperative in the past. I think the future of our sport is places other than Gray Rock, which will have a limited life no matter how sucessful ($) it is. Since neither Randy nor Kris are planning to leave their jobs for the income the park generates, it's our job as customers to see that the park is sucessful enough to stay open. This is a young, struggling business. I KNOW I wouldn't want the costs, headaches, or the liability they have for the paltry sum left at the end of the year. I also don't expect them to need help much longer. After all they have been at it for a couple of years already.

That said, after a few years volunteering with CAOS, I found my trips to be more enjoyable as a paid customer.
 
I agree with you Rich. Since he asked for our help we should help him out this one time. If we are really concerned with the success of this park we should be true volunteers and not accept a membership. It would help the park more if we paid our admission when we ride. It would not be fair to bring non-members to help work and they not get anything while we get a year free.
 
**** yea I'm there ...all weekend. shirts XL one, two don't care. Tell me a time and what to bring (tools etc.)

The shirts will land here on Friday. All are $10/each except the 5XL for Big Dave it is $14.

I ordered ONE shirt for everybody listed to keep the order small and insure they got here in time since my cousin is a one person part time operation. I need the money ASAP and would prefer that you pay for your guests (non club member) shirt. So if you asked someone to help work then bring money to cover their shirts also and just have them pay your back. Bring your money to the meeting Monday night and I will bring the shirts. If you cant make the meeting just mail me a check and I will get your shirt to you.

Actually I was just saying that because we are brining our dog and Dollar has one too. But now that you mention it, your way was pretty damn funny!!! :flipoff1:
