hate to say it but i told you so:fawkdancesmiley:

looks great though, i will bring a winch for mock up next time i come to work on that BS of a gear set:rolleyes:

so i have spent the last two weekends redoing some things i decided i didnt like. i added another inch of up travel in the front and rear, by rebending the front nose piece of the main rail.

I also fond something i put in slightly off. the passenger B pillar was different then the driver side where it tied in to the top tube. i fixed it. i had the hardest time getting the seats in square and that was why...measuring from something that is off from the beginning.

The rear seats are in place tacked and i am working on the upper shock mounts.

basic rule of thumb is shocks should be 5 degrees in and 15 degrees forward...if ya just could not get exactly that which would be more important? id think the 5 degrees in .

Make sure the approach and departure are beyond 90*....otherwise your wasting your time building a tube car......IMNSHO:D

yes my departure and approach angle are less than 90 Degrees...the picture above has some little rollers sitting on it. if my Krawlers ever show up i have tire sticking out for two inches front and back.

Chassis is pretty much done except for production welding.

Fuel cell mounts are half made, upper front is done but i want two lower rear also.

Ill post pictures tonight.

Need to spend next weekend welding....:011::FIREdevil:

worked on the dash a little. also added a sending unit to my fuel cell.
notice the lid on the stereo, hope this will make this one last a little longer by keeping the dust out. its a marine CD with sirrus and you can plug a mp into it also.

looking good hip!!
looks like its getting closer, cant wait to hit the trails again(even if i wont be able to follow you now).i will give it a try.

Thanks, hope your back is feeling better Bill.
i made the front winch mount mostly, i still need to sleeve the bolt holes as i used round tube. thanks James for the winch for mock up.

started welding the chassis up.

cut most of the front end off as it was barely off center when i put the hood in place. now its all straighter. hard to do this stuff with no help. made the front shocks at 6 degrees in, vice 5 degrees in, as it allows the original hood to be used with two small holes for the shock hoops to poke out.

will need to modify the grill somewhat to fit over the winch.:awesomework:

ill post pictures tonight.
