• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

The snawsage version---- something

Ok I finally got the hoses routed where they will be safe--but going back and forth with making sure the tunnel cover fits without squishing the lines(I trimmed more of the tunnel cover near the atlas shifters to greatly ease going on and off)---turned out to be quite the task...

But I was finally able to find the sweet spot(once more notching was done on the cover) and the cover is now one for the last time :awesomework:

Here is where I mounted the rear adjustable perportioning valve and the engine vent hose shutoff valve. I origionally was going to mount the engine vent ball valve down in the pod but due to we needed a larger diameter hose---it made alot more sense to mount it where I did..

Now due to needing a very tight bend off the master cylinder--the brake hose material wasn't going to cut it. So I also used hardline from the master over to the perportioning valve and down part way on the firewall..

And here you can see where the hardline meets with the plastic line..

And for the engine venting setup. I ran 3/4" hose from valve cover to cover and tee'd it and then from there 1/2" hose to the ball valve. From there I gotta finish wrapping the hose around the driver side tube work and down....

So I had a lil time tonight...

So I figured out how to mount the ball valves(trans and diffs/t-case) and have them very sturdy..

So I went and redid the diff locks (reversed them) and plummed the tee for the feed to them. I also added the 2 missing switch's. So now the pod is ready to toss in...

Keeps looking better and better, and more and more confusing.

What do you thing about making it right hand steer?

I love it... so clean.

Shutoff valves for the breathers... this buggy screams "Roll me!".

It wont "sit", but it will "lay down" "roll over" and "play dead"

I tip over and roll often and wanted to put the valed breathers in a while ago

Have you given any thought to some kind of shield around the orbital valve in case of a leak? A high PSI hydraulic fluid leak could be deadly.

I have thought about it.....thats about all, just thought about it.

Are any good at fabrication? You could make me one and then you could have possibly saved my life.

i'm thinking of the options.....a front burn in highrange and a rear burn in low at the same time

front in high rear in low while climbing wet rock
In the orange buggy I had I accidently locked the front and rear in hi and low at the same time and the rig was under such a bind that I thought it was going to send parts flying(didnt even want to move). When I did this it was in the dirt, somebody left the pills out when the T-case was built and it was a complete bitch to get it back in normal range. If you attempt this with the gearing/tire size, and your inability to know when to say when something will surely go "BOOM"very quickly. Been there done that, wont even accidently do it again as there is a reason they put the pills in it. Also Mike how close is the queer steer joystick to his leg? Robin likes to haul ass and I would hate to see him hit it with his leg at high speed. Other than that looking good, nice work Mike.

arg---my picture hosting is down again.

But lets just say it was another great day and I got more done than expected...

Who are you using to host the pics Mike?

You might want to try Photobucket, been using them for years and never have any issues...
