The snawsage version---- something

Ok here some updates...

Ok here is the pod FINALLY mounted fully into its new home with only the temp guage to throw in and plumb the oil pressure line, :awesomework:

And here is the mess of hoses and hoses and hoses :eeek:

The next thing I wanted to attempt was the trans fluid entrapment thing a ma bob that robin had made/used before.

So after alot of thought and figurin--I finally found a good place for it..
SoI had to swap out the inlet fitting on it--so it gave me a chance to peek inside and see how robin made it. Well I didn't see any anything from the inlet to the bottom of the catch :eeek: like robin had said he built it.

So I made this to fix that

So there is how its mounted---and how I ran the 90w and atf vent hoses.

So after that I decided to work on the CO2 tank mount and got it 90% done :awesomework:

Who are you using to host the pics Mike?

You might want to try Photobucket, been using them for years and never have any issues...

Its a private hosting that is 99% ok ---just a few times lately its been a bit goofy

Sorry about the bad info on the catch can. I must have thought it and did not really do it.

Porter had a good point about the rear steer getting hit while I drive fast. Is there a easy way to put the power to the joystick on a switch?

The joystick isn't touchy-- Maybe a swicth at the joystick mount itself---but I aint pulling that pod again........

I say try it and if need be we can change it at the mount :awesomework:

Once again.......smart thinking.:awesomework:

Also, let me know what size and type end to have Corey weld a true "Y" for the hydro fittings, It will clean it up and get rid of the aluminium fitting.

Actually if I can get a good sealed switch---there is a perfect spot on the front side of the platform where the joystick mounts--will have to rewire it but thats pretty simple....

That joystick is begging to be accessorized. Wink Wink, nudge, nudge. I think one of the ladies around here had an accessorized shifter knob on their rig. Mike, you should consider one of them. Perhaps Crista can give you some pointers.

Its been discussed tony :D

Good luck with the toggle covers...FWIW,I found that under hard hard belly hits/G-outs that the covers fall and turn off whatever is turned on:rolleyes: I had my ignition and fuel pump in my XJ truggy setup with those cover thingys and ripped 'em out after the first trip out......kept turning off the car:looser:

Jeepmauler under MD69's login...................yet again.

Well--your belley is kinda low and you seem to hit it alot :haha: :haha: :haha:

Intersesting jeff--never heard anybody having that problem before.

One thing I did notice--if you recess the switch deeper it causes the paddle of the toggle to rest against the cover which I could see maybe causing an issue like you stated...

Ok the CO2 tank mount ended up being a tricky one. Due to the fact of the odd location(only spot left) and it had of course be removable with some ease. Well I played with some ideas and mocked up a # of different ways. Well here is what I finally ended up doing(had to pull the back wall to weld it up)..

Now the way it goes in and out--you baicaly have to loosen up the clamps and slide them both upward and the whole bottle and clamps come out as a unit. Its actaully pretty easy and when in place it rests on some tube at the base.

Once bolted down and the air hose fitted on---I had to pressurize the system---and play with the diff locks--forgeting I haven't attached the rear yet which ended up zinging a hose all over :haha: But I was pretty stoked I was able to pull it off...

Great idea on mounting the air. Good use of the 1" tube. I better get my Dodge fixed and find my trailer.......looks like only 1 or 2 things left to do.

Would you like this "Y" fitting made to clean up my hydro lines where they come out of the check valves? If so, just tell the size and type of ends and I'll beg Corey to make it.

I'm going on on a limb here, but what exactly is the CO2 bottle for? Besides holding CO2...

Something to do with the propane power or for the shocks? Or the differentails?

Educmacte me please.

Not yet--I am not even sure the pumps will be mounted how they are--till I can get to that point....
