The snawsage version---- something

What ratio is in the t-case now?

The problem has nothing to do with the brakes...

3.8 gears drive through the brakes easier than 4.3?

I would think it would be opposite. Someone explain

It is geared so low that I generally did all my driving in 2nd gear.

I did have the diameter of the rotors turned down, so I now have less braking surface.

Thats what I thought--seems backwards dpesn't it. Then again the pads need to be burned into the rotors---so that might be an issue still too. One reason I have been burning it up and down the steet

When I put tension on the belt between the crank pulley and the first P/S pump the squeaking stopped. Take it for what it's worth.

From what I am seeing--the pulley needs to be encapulated more by the belt--to get full grip agains the belt--which is more important than the amount of tenion against the belt for longesvity/lasting working system..

Worse case scenario I will have to scrap the whole bracted assy and rotate the bumps and inboard the mount. That will give like 3/4 pulley coverage equally on both pumps..... I have put alot of thought into it this morning....

Only thing is that the feed lines from the resevior have to be above the inlet of the pumps.

If new feed hoses are needed they need to be 28" vacuum rated.

What's the diameter of the new calipers compared to the old ones? Did you change the master cylinder? What's the surface area of the new pads compared to the old ones?

So here is the new pump configuration. As you can see I rolled the upper pump to the passenger side and increased the amount of belt against the pulley...

So I rodded the heck out of it--and the belt doesn't make a peep. All I have to do is shorten up the pressure hose and thats done...

OK, that's just creepy! I didn't see you 'till you were on the block behind me, but I heard you headin' down the block (sounds  btw). My first thought was "I wonder if he's dog-walked it yet" :eeek:

What's the clearance on those pullies? I know they shouldn't be moving, but dang! They sure look awfully close!

Ya--it speaks good when you go WOT :redneck:

They are close enough to still get the belt out :D

Also here is the list of items I still have left--from what I can tell now

  1. Seats/seatbelts
  2. Air cleaner
  3. Rear bumps/lines relocated
  4. Rear steer safety switch
  5. Front drive shaft
  6. Nuts/bolts

forgot 7. Grab handle

So robin came up---and got the air bumps and shocks taken care of.

I was also able to get the seat mounts done and some of the seatbelts. I was also able to get the floor done on the drivers side--getting closer....
