The snawsage version---- something

But one thing I had to do--was dig back into the pod because it was only wired to one of the main connectors at the pod and the one un-used switch was only pre-wired to a dead head wire to an open relay spot.

So I decided to try and pull the mixer out in hopes of having enough room to work. And I got lucky the mixer came out pretty easily and was able to have enough room to get my hands down into the pod.

So I had to tie into a few circuits/brance off and run a wire from the main connector to the relay. Pretty simple except having both hands down in the hole seemed more challenging than expected :haha:

But I was able to get it wired up..

So once done I went and checked the circuit for operation and it worked out perfect... I found the pump will turn one once both lockers engaged.

So I also went and checked the amps on the pump. Unloaded it only pulls 4 amps and loaded (also to turn off pressure) 8.1 amps. These lil fellas don't pull **** compared to the larger versions..

I also went and aired the lockers up over night and the pump did not turn on--that works for me :awesomework:

I also picked up a new temp guage since robin was worried about not knowing what his temp was--since his old guage crapped out(don't blame him I hate not knowing).

Ran the engine hot---works like a champ :awesomework:

One thing robin had mentioned--was having a grab handle. Well being as I have had one for a # of years and found it benefitial--I went and bent up some tube....

robin229.jpg

So now its a lil easier to get into the rig. Once he gets his windshield on he won't have the tube to grab onto--these will cure that problem..

And one for the middle of the rig :awesomework:

One thing that was odd--once it was started (only after it started ) the starter would continue to run for about 3 seconds and quit. So I tested the system to see what was causing it. Well there is a soloniod to control both the trigger and main voltage to the starter (who ever told you about this setup robin--never listen to them again :redneck: ).

Well what was happening the starter was creating enough of its own voltage and causing that small amount of voltage to feed into the trigger circuit and causing the soloniod on the starter to engage.

Well to correct it I just routed the trigger wire over to the trigger of the soloniod and that resolved the problem.. Way back when my instinks told me to toss it--should have listened to them

robin232.jpg

I went over the back of the rig to make sure nothing was wrong/going to give a problem (since I never got a chance to go over the back after the first run). Well there was one spot in the back of my head from when I did it (wasn't an issue until the passenger seat went in). The rear hydro lines are being pushed against a shapr edge/floor pan

robin233.jpg

So I went and rolled the floor pan to a nice rounded edge--should not be an issue anymore :awesomework:

robin234.jpg

Went and bled the brakes again (will need to do it again after a run robin).

Then padded the hood against the tubing(noisey bastard) and threw it on for my last time--much better with the studs gone :awesomework:

robin235.jpg

And here was the final thing---last item the two missing panels. Well low and behold I aint got enough material :booo:

So I went and made a template. I have used the multi piece templates for a while now when working with multiple straight angles. So once robin cuts that piece--he just has to pull it apart and use the pieces on the other side---bamo!!!!!!

robin236.jpg

Well-thats the end of the game......

One thing that I did notice after the first trip though--the lower pump for the steering is a lil noisey so robin might have to replace that pump before he heads south.

Also robin--make sure to check everything after the first couple runs--make sure **** doesn't loosen ect :awesomework:

This was a great thread... Nothing but true gettin' after it, clean work...

I've got nothing but respect for the work you put out Crash...:awesomework:

Very cool.....I'm guessing this means it's time my Sausage comes home. I have a new respect for my buggy and plan to be a little nicer to it when out wheeling. It's nice to have a finished rig. I always had it done just enough to run.

When will you be home this evening?
