Sounds like DSI needs to be taken off speed dial. Assclown lol

Looking forward to more parts porn soon.

Yep, its been since mid-Jan that I talked to DSI and that was to get the Bilstien info. I cant say that there is anything else I need from him or to find out from him. he's a knowledgeable SOB, serious walking talking offroad parts encyclopedia.

Seats, badum dum dum....dont think I'm sticking with the Mastercraft 3G's. They are just so damn bulky. But most importantly if I do make the change to a Sparco non-suspension seat I can freeup about 4gal's more of fuel capacity under the driverseat. Problem is damn Sparcos are in funky sizes that dont really fit me. Got a deal working though for a set of two new size offroad Ergo's, but still waiting on the size specs before I agree to them. More to come, should have that squared away by end of next week.

My brother up in ok is gonna build 2 6.0s for me. He builds the top sprint car motors in ok and wants to get in the ls scene. We will see how mine turn out but for the mud truck he is saying close to 8 is no prob with a carb and my buggy will be above 6 no prob is what he is saying.

Oh yeah man, been pretty busy. Had to drive out to West Texas and pick up my new enclosed with LQ a few weeks back. Sumbitch tows like a dream, and makes them ****ers like Jabnasty jeolous as hell when they see me rollin'.

Progress is being made but is mainly waiting on parts, and my AVHC for my Torchmate to get back from Reno.
Broke this dealio somehow, it makes the torchhead go up and down :dunno:

Also had to spend my tranny money on a backyard Mosquito system. :-\ They are so bad already this year you get swarmed trying to get from the car to the house.
Ron Davis took my cooling money and havent seen those parts in just under 2 months. Bilstein still a no show with Bypasses. UPR is still dicking around with the Sparco seats.

I'll say Howe got the air filters out ASAP, and Roark Fab was fast on the atlas support ring.
These should keep **** out of the motor, though I have no idea where I’m going to mount them. Maybe on the roof or a trailer to tow behind.

Coolest **** showed up this past weekend, RaceRamps to load and unload the salt car with ease. They are basically HD foam with a rhinolined coating from what I can tell. Light as can be to carry.
I really cant believe I didn’t buy them a year ago when I first found them. These guys were awesome and prompt to work with, did a custom size, height, width, length and all delivers in 2.5 weeks.

WTF is up with that trailer? You ordered it with the upgraded axles in lieu of the standard mobile home units?

Wish I had that lord pemberton scratch :flipoff1:

Glad you still have the Rivi...lust

alternator went bad in the Rivi, under a year old, and its some dumbass custom **** that only fits this vehicle apparently. Took it off, shipped it in, then they (Jegs) send me an email to tell me it will be May before they have any replacements in stock. WTF??? I drug it to the house to work on retrofitting something else to it.

Tell me about the motor.....also, why did it come from Georg?

big bad LSx from Mast's "Black Label" line. Its not hard to figure out which one it is on their website if you compare intakes. :driving:

I am in TX
Mast is in TX
Georg isn't in TX
So about 6.25% reason why thumb.gif

Sick ! Man those ramps are awesome , I've never seen that killer idea :dblthumb:

That engine is NASTY drool

I like the air filters. I did not know that howe made them. What type of filter does it use?

I guess I could go online and check it out myself, but then I wouldn't need to post. So school me.

Howe apparently started another business. But its same address, same number, and when you call for air filtration or steering you get Jeff Howe.

Ron Davis update.
Dennis at Ron Davis equals great guy. We worked out all the BS that my car needed, he said two weeks and everything would ship (4.5 weeks ago). Then Dennis told me to call PolyPerf and the price would be better and he gets the order from them as soon as I put it in.
I call Poly, three calls later (Taylor @ Poly calling back and forth with Dennis) I have my exact order with Poly that Dennis @ RD and I worked out. I saved about $200 going through Poly. PERFECT I THINK!
I pay Poly, Taylor says Dennis said two weeks. Well here we are at 4.5 weeks.

Last night I finally get ahold of someone at Poly that could backtrack the invoice, they find out that Bailey at Poly invoiced me, but never sent the order. Dennis at RD remembered everything and was expecting the order and then it never came. Dennis is working on it now and will ship in the 2 weeks he said it would take.
I bitch at Poly, and get them to refund me 10% that they are running as the Easter discount now. Win! Now for the **** to just show up in two weeks.

I'll say RonDavis GOOD, Poly SUCK.

Well I thought I was finally living right tonight. Got my Ron Davis and Bilstien boxes on the same day.

Bilstein bypasses, yes they are sexy, and yes custom tube placement too #1 clear **** on the chassis, and #2 be better dialed in. Thats right I ordered them 8 months ago, and have really ridden ass since XMAS. Was told two weeks after KOH I'd have them. KOH was almost 3 months ago. I'm a bit miffed when was told 8 weeks early last fall. 1 week lead time is actually one month in vendor years.

Ordered this Ron Davis **** over 2.5 months ago, was told two weeks......
After chasing UPS all over hell yesterday and today they found 2 of my 3 boxes from Ron Davis. Boxes look pristine, but heat exchanger inlet beat to ****ing hell. Then open radiator box and the son of a bitch is frowning at me.

I already called Poly who I paid, and they passed the buck onto Ron Davis. I'll be calling them in the morning. WTF, seriously!

Rant on.

I just dont ****ing get how anyone builds anything today!!! How builders get any ****ing parts in any timely fashion and correct. I can't vouch for a single vendor I've dealt with in 2011 or 2012. Dead serious. I was going to say BFG, except last week they sent me 5 tires I didnt order and then after a call, they invoiced me for them and charged my card. 255/20 A/T's WTF am I going to use those on?

I will not begin to name any names on **** that I'm currently fighting.....but next time someone tells me two weeks, may ****ing kill them.
Then I have been working with a vendor who I honestly feel I have a pretty good relationship, and have gotten run around, dicked around, and ultimately punted on. I finally had to ask which of their competitors products would they recommend since they couldnt get theirs done, right, WTF ever was going on. And low and behold he was honest and told me to call XXXXX Co. and they had the best out there and would recommend them. Holy ****, why didnt you just be honest in the first place, rather than drag **** on for 4 months with empty promises??????

I just cant phathom how Woodlee, Campbell, TwistedCus, Smith, Jim's, Jimmy's and on and on, even turn out cars. And Campbell can do one in less than a month. I couldnt even get a spare tire cover for a Jeep Liberty from Quadratrac, Bestop, or Poly in under 5 weeks.

I can absolutely see why people are all cum'ing on themselves for RZR's! **** it is already built and warrentied. And one point of contact when **** is sideways.

I seriously feel like a salmon trying to swim up Niagra Falls building a car. Every ****ing part is a fight after fight after wait, then more fight.

How the f--- do these :afro: do it? I know Woodlee has Rocky. But I dont know how Rocky doesnt slit his wrist dealing with vendors day in day out. Maybe I'm starting to crack the code. 1 week = 1 month, whats the next piece I need to know? Drink more Ovaltine???
