How is it possible to have $4500 in material/labor/design of that steering rack? Supply and demand? This sounds like half the **** I sell on a daily basis in the construction industry. I KNOW this fiberglass cornice cost .10 cents a sq ft. to make, but if you can sell it for $40 a sqft then why not?

You selling your pile too Joel or just out of racing and back to trail wheelin
?
Selling out. Gonna join the MattO Fishing Club, I will head up the salt water division. :dblthumb: 31' center console in my future to make runs to the canyons in the gulf of mexico for tuna, wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and to the rigs for snapper, Amberjack, grouper, and whatever else we can get to bite.

MattO's freshwater journal is doing it right and on the cheap son!

You get a boat, I wanna get out there and do some offshore. I only ever did brackish in a bay outside Galveston when I lived there. Still fun and different than the Mississippi I am used to.

Thread officially derailed until Wyatt gets his parts by Thanksgiving. :flipoff1:

4.5k, sounds reasonable for a part like that, hell thats monday through wed for Wyatt :flipoff1:
That is mother ****ing insanity. no way that is reasonable.
What was scherers complaint with teh psc unit, was it in the rocks? if so, **** it, go with that, leave room for pro am.

The PSC racks are sand rail racks. Good for 2wd and lil tires in sand. Add 4wd, +600HP, and a 39" tires and BOOM!

The Howe is an intermediate between the PSC and the ProAm. TT's that run the Howe typically replace every couple races. Class1's they are living in because those guys are 35-37" tires not 37-39" and twice as heavy.
There are still more options: go old school and do a Saginaw box with a swingset and hydro-assist. Strong, proven and with a properly designed swingset you can get rid of all bump steer throughout the entire range of steering and travel.

Wes @ Poly, and Dennis @ Ron Davis called me yesterday to say my **** has shipped! 1 day late from their May 9th new deadline.
Now for UPS to not **** them up.

Did you guys see these Chassis Unlimited seat sliders that got released last week? I had wanted some every since seeing the one off set that DangerRanger runs.
And with knowing these had the potential to possibly be made, snatched up and then no more made. So I grabbed two.
All I have to say is wow, these are way top notch, and for the price beat the hell out of the $200 each Synergy Suspension seat slider that Poly sells that are hard to package. http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/Synergy-Suspension-Universal-Seat-Slider-p-24671.html

Anyway here the Chassis Unlimited ones are, these guys took my order last Thursday and I had them in my hand 7 days later. I'll call that great service.
Current Giveaway thread.

You are welcome any time! Would be cool to plan a trip with some of you guys.

Trans has been ordered June 1 target date.

4L80e mvb with the freaking book thrown at it.

CircleD Trans here in Houston. They are big time street and strip guys. Bread and butter is Vettes and camaro's. They are super pumped about an offroad race car.

You'll have to be spot on with the axle gearing now with the 4L, and go deeper more than likely, but it will be fine. With OD, assuming it will hold for extended periods, you should still be able to get in the triple digits on 40's with a 5ish gear

5.43's in the diffs is the plan.
My trans guy was trying to talk me into doing a lockup converter and I had to go into 1000 reasons why thats a bad idea.

Zero progress on the actual chassis has never felt so good. molaugh

Joel it may not be as much adrenaline but it sure is cheaper! Also my marriage and family relationships are better than they have ever been. I am pretty sure I had an addiction and it was hard to let go of. Once I got out it was not that big of a deal anymore though. The cool thing about a saltwater boat is that you go to cool locations and the wife and family can come have a vacation at the same time. My dad has a center console bay boat that we fish in around Fort Morgan. The wife and I are going to the Keys this week and we are sightcasting for Tarpon on the fly on Thursday!

Enjoy the boat Joel and put a trip together for us sooner than later. BTW Wyatt you will be at the same place in no time after you race that pile of cash you have a few times! ;D

Where all? We just booked a trip to get into Ft Lauderdale July 2nd, and not coming back until 8th. Staying in the Keys all but the last two days where we come back up to Boca.
I've been down the keys a few times but always with buddies and always partying. Not really sure what to do with the family. All ears if you know or have a family plan for down there.

"In no time" Hell, I'm already there. Thing is a pile of parts aint worth **** unless its all together.

Yeah our trip to Keys is adult themed, no kids finally! We are fishing with a flats guide one day and just relaxing and drinking the rest. Flying to Miami and driving down.

Man that sounds like a blast!!

You two haters :gtfo: of Wyatt's thread and quit pissing on his Wheaties.....

I have to say, if I had a place to go fast like Wyatt is planning, the fever might would come back. I can see the desert race stuff being a real kick.

you'd be scared :flipoff1:
seriously, xp in KOH is just a taste, but it is so much F'ing fun just going 60 plus in teh big stuff dancing all over half out of control making honest crazy passes in dust in alternate and rougher lines. it was nothing like any of the other racing I've done, and was, to be honest, more fun by far. huge ****ing rush. Kind of made Jab and I both laugh and say **** ultra 4 without a 150k wallet. I'm aware it isn't to the same degree, but more suspension than power is not overrated instead of the inverse.
