A good friend of mine was talking to him at Trent Fab as recent as last week about a top shelf chassis. I advised him against doing business with them because of this thread. Too much drama and instability at that shop.

Wyatt, I can tell you after this weekend that you are 100% making a good decision building a desert car. My 190 miles I did in V2R was the most fun I have ever had in a race car. To me it was more fun than KOH. I think I can see why the desert guys that have tried KOH only tried it once. If I lived out west I would have a desert car, without a doubt.

Exactly what you said. Vegas to Reno is such an overwhelming experience, the fact you got to experience it first hand is life changing, addicting, and all that. Kelly was supposed to go with me in 2009 and I know he still kicks himself today. Then in '10 when he and all of the Paola guys plus Derek Stewart chased at the Parker425 with me they all finally got a taste. The looks on their faces when BJ went by us on the Python and the ground shuddered as he thundered by, freaking priceless impressions. I've turned down multiple opportunities to do Baja. Even got asked to put together a crew and truck to chase for a top TT team for this years B1K. But mexico just scares me too much, and I'd rather spend my money on car parts than fuel to get prepped and out there. I really do wish there was someway to live out west but for me I dont see ever leaving Houston unless I change careers 180. I hope this car ends up being legit, and I hope I can kill it here in the Texas series. At that point I may consider doing one big west race a year, Parker, Mint, V2R are definately bucketlist races I want to do in my own car.

Off to hemorage more money on it. :driving:

and now for a car update.
A whole bunch of 4130 plate has been ordered. .125 4130 plate is likeness to hensteeth. Zero suppliers in Houston. I am getting sheets shipped from the east coast somewhere.
Howe made me sell the rights to my 3rd born and is now sending me a cumdumpster full of fast car steering poop.

Bad news, the guy that I've had working on it is getting bounced from his job and shop. So I think I have to go pick it up this weekend, will know more tongiht. Eventually everyone and their dog will have had hand in getting this thing done.

I would like to get in on a Mint 400 race. That race just has so much history around it and getting to tech on Freemont would be awesome. I agree on Mexico, I have no desire to go there to race, much less on vacation.

Just load it up and take to Austin. I here there is a trophy truck driver there with a shop now :flipoff1:

The problem is Tiffany would never let me. She hates him! We've been invited to his garage party the past 5 years, we went the first two. Got to drink w/ some cool celebs. But when his BS went down she said hell no we aren't going to that "CHEATERS" party.

He has access. Whatever. I wouldn't turn down a party with cool **** because of personal ****. If a great politician on my side that actually did good for a change also plows some broads in the ass to let off steam, that is between him, his wife and God. I just want him to be a good politician.
