well I havent been working very fast, or hard... but here is some progress. Its a roller for the 1st time in its life.
Measurements sure changed a bit. 89"wide front, 88.5" wide rear on 4"BS Walkers. FULL BUMP has 2" under bulkhead, and 4" rear most portion of the chassis. Thats a bit low IMO, I may change the upper C/O & bypass mounts at this point to stop it sooner. I'd like 2 more inches (wouldnt we all )
There is some discussion about making new upper and lower arms to push out to 91" and move to a 5"BS wheel. That would net two more inches of arm length for more travel. But that would narrow the rear to 4.5" narrower track than the front.
Changing the arms is cake so the work isnt a hold up. and the 4" BS wheels are Coles old ones and they are meant to be my spares (well 3, the 4th is junk it got over machined in the lugholes by me)
What do you guys think about having the rear 2.25" narrower per side than the front?
Raves: Spidertrax Prohubs are so nice and easy to use. Only had one problem on one corner, they didnt fully tap three tiny holes, so I had to do that. Big whoop. Sexy as bitches.

The ass will be removeable. Especially for motor swaps and what not. I want to do a 2nd ass that is only a cooler rack and then run a 90 elbow up for just a simple K&N vs. the huge 10x20 dual air canisters that fit between the dual spares now. It will certainly bang up the suspension tune, but it wont be hauling ass, it will be putting around drinking beer, or it will be someone elses.

Sounds like a great idea...just build the bish' stiff so you dont have any tubes moving. I have a hard enough time bolting in the seat bar I have that removable after you tweak a chassis a little.

Moved it over to a guys shop to start working on it. Hes not exactly moving forward as planned. Which has been a bit of a let down.
Have lots of parts on shelves or ordered waiting to show up, but thats not really picture worthy.
I will say that the magnitude of front IFS rework/redesign has been nothing short of disappointing in the original design. What I was sold on, paid for, and ultimately recieved is nothing more than junk metal and a DSI lie.
I'll probably be packing a shovel for KOH this year to dig a hole for that asshole, I dont think he'll be missed.
I can clearly say to anyone, there is a reason Kirby gets $38k for his front now, and Proam gets $48k. They have it figured out!!!
We have painted ourselves in so many corners in modeling its not even funny at this point. I think the design I have now is legit. But I want it a bit wider and I want the belly a bit higher so we are still on the drawing board for those changes and how they compromise shaft angle, travel, steering and overall caster and camber.
Short plug, Jeff Howe. I have met him once, I was completely unimpressed. But the logic, discussion, design he has gone though for me is nothing short of amazing. I have 100% faith the steering he has designed for me is going to kill it!
