Little Gibby's 45 MB

I looked over trying to use the pedal that was in the pile and its just too worn out and will need to be modified. Going to stuff my head under there tonight and see what one will work the best..

Dang---the pedal finally ships tomorrow--jeepers..

Waiting for james to get back to me so we can figure a few things out.

Grabbed a tbi throttle cable so time to build a bracket since i can't find anything prefabbed worth a damn.

So I ordered the pedal assy and got some egr bypass kit and went to order the right part--out of stock for the next month--:wtf:

So I got pissed and took another look at the pedal that was in the pile. Well I was able to make it work with some effort. Due to the firewall/tunnel metting joint and where the pedal needed to mount I had to first make a 1/4" spacer.

Next part wasn't too bad getting the top of the pedal rebuilt to fit the cable/travel. It actually turned out pretty good...

Some odds and ends. Got all the sensors installed. Had to make a bracket for the map sensor.

I also got the shocks figured out, Bilstien 5125 series.

33-185606 for the rears

33-185552 for the fronts

I got the starter figured out.

So the shocks are the last heavy metal work I have left.

I will order the shocks, the shifter parts and I think you still need the water neck and distributor hold down. I have the radiator and heater hoses here that you asked for

Why doesn't Action have an account on here Gibby? He should be commenting on this thread. We should have had him here from the start, that way we could have watched him grow up while the build was going on. He's at least 5' taller than when it began.

On a serious note, Jackson get's his permit in about 6 months.

Hmmm, there are a lot of threads on here that i would not consider appropriate for his viewing, or mine for that matter :)

Look at how crappy these pre-fab harness's are made for fitment. My big pet peeve is when there are multiple harness's under the hood--drives me batty..

So I have "always" routed them properly and incorporated the rest of the wiring into the engine harness. You have less feet of wiring and when routed properly the chances of failure are reduced greatly.

Front is prewired for winch control, headlights (high/low beam) park lamps and both rh and lh turn. Its pretty close but without a nose I can only guesstimate...

So the engine wiring is all done except the main power leads (winch/alt/starter).
