I see this in the description but does it stay on all the time? "Just wire the 12 Volt solenoid to your ignition and then to ground and pipe the 3/8" NPT to your oil system and your done."

Believe it stays on all the time.

Why do you keep saying you are not going to change your driving style? I do not see where anyone has suggested you should. I know we all like the videos, we may not understand why you and others want to beat the piss out of your rigs though. :flipoff1:

I imagine it does when you wheel on Kansas and Alabama all of the time......there is nothing to Crawl dunno

The moroso site has good tech on how the accumulator works. A 3 quart from them is 266.00. I link it but i dont know how.Hell i just learned how to do the pix. :flipoff1:

Simple to install for some good insurance. Why would you not want it in your ride?

Cole, first of all I want to say that this is some crappy luck. I would have never thought that the 8100 would have laid down this soon. Was your motor still running the STOCK tune or had it been tuned? What RPMS would that motor turn?

The motor had been tuned just a little from when I had the wiring harness reworked. I don't know what kind of RPMs the motor was turning because I don't have a tach. The motor has a rev limiter so I know I didn't over rev it. I think it may have been running lean. Hopefully I will know either tomorrow or sometime this week. Just waiting on my buddy to tear the motor down.

I have pretty much decided that I am going to put better pistons and rods in the motor and whatever other parts it may need. I don't want to put factory parts back in it.

I will also add the Oil Accumulator and new gauges.

I am looking at this as a learning experience and I understand its all part of the game.

Definately do not put stock parts back in it. Take the opportunity while its apart to strengthen it up. But try to resist the urge to soup it up at the same time. You really need a tach, you may still have had it deep in the red even though it has a limiter.

Cole, have your guy check for water damage when he cracks it open......there are tons on low mileage motors floating around out there that are Katrina motors.

I was curious as to if the limiter had been raised or not.

Put you in a good forged crank, h-beam rods and forged pistons and you'll be set.

Don't waste your time on the accumulator though. That is just my thoughts.

I am going to waste time on an accumulator for the motor and trans. I don't want to be where cole is sitting now.
