So what is your>>>>>>

Well then you have a super high stall and you're 152 is worthless:haha: all the buggies we build have 350's or 400's, a 4.3 atlas, and 5.38's, that's 58:1 and most definitely low enough, never a situation where there isn't enough low end. In you're case, it's like toy's with 150+ engine is wrapped piss tight and you're wheel's are spinning 1mph, I'm sure you don't have a manual valve body so you are at the whim of the tranny shifting to pick up some wheel speed, and even in drive low range you are 55:1, sound's like a sweet setup:rolleyes:

its acctually 58.3:1:fawkdancesmiley:

so i lied i have a t18-a which has a lower first gear.....75.87:1 sure doesnt seem like it though with only 40 horsies lol

Your just a know it all aren't you.:awesomework: All I was saying was I don't drive through my brake as stated by you. I said nothing about only using my 150:1 only. It's a 4spd with many options.

what's the point? please explain. And also as I stated, you obviously have a high stall, you are an exception. i guess you could call me a know most of it all, as I know more than you're average bear......as far a 4xing goes, and that's about all. I've built more stuff in the past year than most any combo of 10 on here will build in their life. I would say I have a good idea of what work's, what's unnecessary, and what's dumb.

My brothers rig with a 4.3v6 t350 and dual toys, 4.10 diff gears with a full manual valve body etc. Not sure if its his torque converter (custombuilt by TC shop) having the wrong stall speed does fine in forward gears, but could use a bit more grunt in reverse. It doesn't drive through the brakes at all and could be a bit lower for technical wheeling.

Whats a t350 reverse gear ratio?

how do you figure out these ratios. I have 5.29 37" tires, manual trans,stock t-case,and a 4.7 t-case.

I'm 100:1 with my auto but it's too low so I nearly never use it. 50:0 is the lowest ratio I usually use and often into 25:1 for trail use.:awesomework:

3.06 (Trans) * 2.62 (T/C) * 5.38 (Diffs) = 43.13, works great.

Used to be taller with teh TH350 and did all kinds of stuff.....can't imagine needing lower with an auto and a real engine. :redneck:

Gear Ratios 1st 4.46 Gear Ratios 2nd 2.61 + 4 to1 tcase + 410 gears on 32`s
I have no idea how to figure final ratios.
