• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

So what is your>>>>>>

80-1 with an auto and love it and never drive through the brakes:rolleyes:

4.3V6 wt350 then a 321C-dana300 and 4.56 gears on 37's and 38.5's on a 4000# rig.

Yes full manual valve body, slightly higher then stock stall, it will flash to around 2000 rpm.

I was at 60-1 with dual toy cases and like this (80-1) a lot better for my application. If i need more wheel speed just slap another gear or shift out of double low.

Of course I am not a rig building goddess who knows more then any 10 other people on this board.:haha: :haha:

so Darius.I got 5.29 with a 5-1 transfer case.I thought mine was 100-1 but now I'm not sure,,,but with my auto it goes to a bizilion-1...and actually wiil come to a stop at idle......It works for me:wtf:

Well I'm sorry world, I know 3 or 4 rig's personally that are in the 80:1 + auto's and they drive right through the brakes, I guess I'm clueless. Never said I know more than 10 people......tool's, just said I build more. Please grace me with some knowledge of why you're super low auto crawl is so super awesome, I've asked that since the beginning, and nobody has answered that one?

I highly doubt that you're crawl ratio change was the big benefit when you did the change to a 300. Just cause it's what you have doesn't mean it's the best.

.... Just cause it's what you have doesn't mean it's the best.

maybe one guy should listen to himself....

Darius no offence intended, been told by toybug and others your a good guy, but your posts read like a know it all jerk. :kissmyass:

I'm about 61:1 with an auto, I couldn't stop with out rear disc and hydro-boost, almost ran into the garage door when I first got it put back together.

what's the point? please explain. And also as I stated, you obviously have a high stall, you are an exception. i guess you could call me a know most of it all, as I know more than you're average bear......as far a 4xing goes, and that's about all. I've built more stuff in the past year than most any combo of 10 on here will build in their life. I would say I have a good idea of what work's, what's unnecessary, and what's dumb.

I honestly don't know what my actually stall speed is. It's just the factory torque converter so I don't see why I'm an exception. Sorry about the "know it all" comment. I was drinking and probably shouldn't of been posting. Yes to the 10:1 will rarely get used. I bought the wide ratio because of the 2.72:1 and the 3.8:1 which I use both of those all the time depending on the situation.

I didn't see a need for the close ratio one the the 2:1 and 2.72:1. Yes the low-low(5.4:1) on this case will be useful along with the 2.72:1, But I think the 2:1 is a waste. But some people think my 10:1 is a waste. So it's all just a matter of opinion and driving style. To each his own.

with a manual the horsepower of the motor also affects things correct?
And also with an auto, but yes and no. If you have a decent ratio you should be able to crawl with just about any engine.

However, there's a lot more to wheeling than crawling...
