Air Shock/Front Suspension Redesign Tech

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

The lens broke in transport P, the gauge still works or it should. Kevin, what do you get for that price? Regulator and gauges? Might need you to get me one...

P I don't think your bottle has enough capacity to fill airs or maybe it was a reg problem. I could never get enouth N2 in my CO's when I used it and neither could joe.

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

Uniweld Regulator. It has tank pressure guage up to 4000 PSI the outlet guage goes from 0 to 600 PSI. The guy told me on the package it says 20-400 PSI. I have personally never went over 400 PSI with one but I think it would go more especially if the guage will go to 600.

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

on uniweld, they have it with the contents/output guages, but the output side only goes up to 300. ????

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

here is a uniweld setup from another site with a "400" psi model, but the output side goes to 600 on the gauge clearly. is this the one you are saying you can do for about $53? with both gauges? is so, I'm in. I'll do what it takes to get it to me.

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

Sway away tech support was good to me and a friend, we told them what we had, estimated our buggy weight per corner, and they made suggestions.
Added 40 cc of 10w oil and nitro to 275 psi. frnt 240 rear. mine work great but I also have antirock on the rear, to keep the roll down.
At this time I dont have rear bump stops but I do have front, and I only run center straps. Nolen is correct, sway away warned me not to let the rockwells fully extend them, so I am adding limiting straps at each corner.

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

It will be hear in probably 20 minutes and I will get a picture and specs posted.

That is the one. The only difference is the one I have has rubber boots over the guages.
Reg $52.92
Tax $5.29
Total $58.21

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

Not sure what size your air shocks are, but I have 2 14" Radflo Coilovers that you are more than welcome to use to see if it cures your problem. I believe Joe said he had some springs.

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

I may take you up on that Master Cole. Gonna tune the airs first and see what that gets me...

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

If anybody has looked at the thread on PBB the focus has turned to my suspension as the culprit. The powers that be said that with all the link mounts being on the same plane at the chassis the suspension acts like a radius arm setup. S&N told me the same thing and said since mine was #2 of 38 rigs they have learned some things and changed it up since. Here are some pics for those that are interested:

Dan @ BTF sent me a PM about the problems with these suspensions when put in east cost wheeling terrains, and he offered to take a look at it for me and provide some ideas. I think I am going to take him up on his offer. At least I know what is causing the problem now. I may not even fawk with the shocks since S&N told me what the oil and nitro levels were where I was going to get them to already. I was thinking about mounting those small 2" air bumps in the front also. P can you measure the ones you have and see what the overall length is? I have some shock oil I doubt I will be using also P...

Re: Does anybody know anything about tuning air shocks?

Oh **** dood... I didnt realize the suspension was like that at the chassis , (same plane ) thats gayness... there's the hop culprit right there no doubts.

Ill try to get them measured tongiht thumb.gif
