Reiter Pass's a SEPA (that means it's opening)

Ya, I always say (my assumptions:rolleyes:) that the reason reiter is worse (knuckleheads) is because of how easy it is to access. You have to plan a trip to go to Naches, hence the only knuckleheads you get are the SMALL handfull that live nearby as opposed to the MILLIONS that live in Gold Bar/Sultan to Everett/Marysville areas. the Knucklehead to ORV Area Ratio is very high around reiter. :redneck:

Has nothing to do with "planning a trip" , it has to do with the fact its easily accessable by large populations.

Is there an echo?! :D That's what i said. I may have been exxagerating a bit on the "planning a trip" but you get my point, that it's not just "off the highway" for most to get to like reiter is. Meaning it's not as easily accessable. :;

The way I understand it is a stypical two track trail is two tracks maximum so bikes and quads are OK....as it should be. Sounds like the real issue is the bikes possibly going too fast? Just make a speed limit. Of course nobody has a speedometer but they get the idea that they have to slow down for slower traffic and if they don't just clothsline them as they go by.:awesomework:

I think you understand what I am talking about.

What I heard it happend out at Tahuya and the family sued for the loss of the rider. There are now signs up that say no Motorcyles on certain sections of the trail system. It also happens to be the rock sections of the trail. Problem is bikes are still going down there they go right past the signs. They ignore the signs.

Its always the few that make it hard on the rest of us. Dosnt matter what they ride or wheel.

That's a bad example but a real one. It's like the kid who broke his leg when HE ran into a parked car on a skateboard flying down a hill. The mom pushed to have skateboards banned! :awesomework: WE must protect ourselves from ourselves.... But that is another topic.

Yes but DNR must be protected from a sue happy user or a users family.

If the rules are inplace and regardless of inforcement then at least it covers the DNR for liability issues, at least this is what I am thinking.

WE must protect ourselves from ourselves.... But that is another topic.

I disagree.. That is the topic here... Have you looked at the Video DNR Pulled from YouTube and used as examples in they Evaluation of Damage at Reiter?

There is nothing there that puts 4x4 or dirt bikes in a good light. It is ourselves hurting ourselves, so we need to police ourselves much better then we have done in the past.

Yes I know I have changed the context of what you were trying to say, but that is what is done to all of us every day and we need to protect ourselves and not give Tree Huggers or anyone ammunition to shoot us down. So to quote you again "WE must protect ourselves from ourselves".

One way we need to start doing that is demonstrated quite well in this thread. This is not meant as finger pointing, but I know it will be taken that way, so my flame suit is on! :fawkdancesmiley:

Neil, you need to think a bit more about what you say in your posts, and comprehend better what others are saying in their posts. You are a Biker and a 4x4er, but your post come across as one of the vast Uninformed Public, which I know you are not.

Everyone needs to stop trying to read between the lines when there is nothing there. Read, digest, contemplate, think, then post..

You thought about all that huh!:haha: Couldn't have thought to say it all better myself!:redneck:

the only thing i can think of.. is..

I WANT NIGHT WHEELING.

probably won't get it, but we can hope.

No......what you want is a time and place to be unnoticed and unsupervised, raging around drunk (or sober, whatever) , having a good time into the early morning, with like-minded friend's.

Hey.......ME TOO!!!

The new Reiter will not be this place we seek.

IT WILL BE WHAT We MAKE IT :stirpot::silly15::011::011::FIREdevil::FIREdevil::FIREdevil::FIREdevil::awesomework:

Umm attitudes like that are not going to help keep it open. That will get the gate locked quickly.

** I really hope I am not understanding what you are implying.**

Side note: I have a few "biker-only" friends and many more "dual-hobby" friends that enjoy both activities. My "ignorance" is not just ignorance.

That's very interesting that they're separating the user groups like that.

If it was up to me, we wouldn't even park next to the bike guys.

How does it go? I'm not racist.....I'm prejudice. I am.:; And have no problem publicly expressing it. I will also say that I have no problem with the bikes being allowed to enjoy the outdoors. To each their own........literally.

Besides......the DNR did not pull this idea from the air. The different motorized users continually reinforce this idea of "separation". (You don't think so? Show me.....)

I don't want bikes or quads on the 4x4 trails. I'm making a stand. You get yours, we'll have ours. Fair is fair.:awesomework:

And that's, that. If you're offended by anything I just said.......you might have some prejudice in you too.:;

I'm pretty hard to offend, years of being made fun of and teased on the playground have proved effective. :redneck:

I'm a quadrupalist. :eeek: I hike it, I Bikecycle it, I (will) Motocycle it.
I 4-wheel it. So i'm ignorant to the different aspects of each and am one-sided.:D

I think (as with most everything) there should be a balance. Do I think dirtbikes and quads should be allowed on EVERY 4x4 trail? Absolutely NOT! Should they be allowed on some? sure!.....but not ALL!

It's funny because the way you're saying you dont want bikes around reminds me of someone that went to reiter to go hiking and complained of the noise the dirtbikes made...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! :fawkdancesmiley::haha: Go to a 4x4 only area and stop whining! I don't go to gay clubs and complain that there are no single ladies!

We all need police interceptor mufflers on our rigs
and infra red/ night vision
that would be good times:fawkdancesmiley:
